In Vicenza for a week for work and a buddy of my suggested Buffalo Grill. For us, it's away from…read morework and not some place I'd seek out based on the paltry reviews on Yelp! but I trusted his judgement and I'm so glad I did!
I asked him why he likes this place and his response was simple, "if you see these older locals coming here, you know it's good." And he was right!
My fettuccine with mushrooms and sausage was ridiculously delicious! Weirdly for Americans, if you were to eat a plate of this, you'd bust at the seams. Not true for real food! I was ready for round two and my calamari plate with prawns was just as good yet just as light!
Yes, a lot of food but I'm working 12 hour days and I was hungry but I didn't feel miserable after!
The service was just as great with everyone having a smile on their faces. There's an outside seating area that began getting diners as we were leaving around 9. The place was busy on a Wednesday, in my opinion and for good reason.
So the next time you're somewhere unfamiliar, listen to the folks who take chances!
