I found this place while studying abroad in Rome at John Cabot University. I am an avid…read moresushi/sashimi lover from the NY tri-state area who couldn't go my entire 4 months here without sushi. Very nice traditional Japanese sushi restaurant in Rome. The all you can eat offer for 20 euro is definitely worth it. The sashimi was incredibly fresh and made quick to order. The various appetizers all were tasty and obviously endless. The only thing that keeps it from a 5-star rating was the lack of selection when it came to actual rolls. Although very well made and delicious, their roll selection was not very extensive or "wild" which I look for in sushi restaurants. A nice touch was the inclusion of a Chinese menu which was also included in the 20 euro price and all of them looked very fresh and delicious. I had the spicy shrimp and rice noodles selections which were both made very well. I will definitely be going back very soon!

I'm a big fan of Japanese food, having stuck to more traditional restaurants in the past to get my fill of sashimi, one of my favourite elements of Nippon cuisine. Imagine my delight upon understanding that I could order unlimited sashimi here (I was under the impression that certain, more expensive dishes, might be limited). The night started well with a copious selection of sushi and sashimi, ordered in conjunction with my five fellow diners. It's AYCE, so I focus on the fish, overlooking other delicacies that I usually enjoy, such as tempura and soba noodles. The seaweed is heavily vinegared without much other flavour. The tuna sashimi has no flavour at all, while the salmon is a little more tasty, probably due to its natural oil content. The experience is one of a feeding frenzy, without care for flavour or presentation: the sushi are fashioned expertly enough, but garlicky mayo and other California-style rolls are a bit of a turn-off. By the end of the evening, we've over-eaten and I have the sense of having binged for the sake of it, rather than enjoying what I usually consider an exquisite ethnic choice. Obviously, the restaurant's not to blame for the piggishness of the diners, but it's a formula I don't enjoy and which seems far from the central reason of why I go out for dinner.

Service is inline with warm Italian hospitality and our server was great. Felt like we were in a movie (I'm from the USA). We were seated outdoors with indoor foliage making it the perfect addition to our ambiance. Steak was something to be desired but the attempt and seasoning was superb. Potatoes well seasoned and we definitely took our leftovers to go.

The food and drinks were tasty, though not exceptional. I'd return given it's value, except the service was honestly terrible. Despite our attempts to get attention, we were ignored while others were promptly served (this is for drinks, food is self-serve). My sister had to wave down a server to order her first drink. Later on, she was offered a second drink, but I was never asked if I wanted another. At the end, a server who I'd never seen came over to check us out. I think because he spoke English. When it was time to pay, he asked how much we wanted to pay. This was his way to ask for a tip, which is not typical in Italy, but since they profiled us as Americans immediately, i understand the attempt. My sister named the check amount and he processed it. After that, he said, "you know that that cost does not include a service charge?" She was taken aback and asked "oh, is there a service charge to eat here?" because sometimes there are service charges to eat at Italian cafes, but they are usually included in the bill. He laughed and said yes but walked away. This might be a tourist scam, as other reviews noted similar experiences, and the business stated tips are not mandatory. For locals, it's a great deal to enjoy a few drinks (around €8.50 each) and hang out with friends. While we were there it did appear to be the norm to camp out for a while.

A yes! Testacio! who does not love this party neighborhood!…read moreLast time i went here was back in 2012!! but hey i went to this place like twice a month so i can still review it! This is not like the American version of Chinese food, they have to improvise on a lot of things. That being said the food is still good and edible. The waiters did not speak English only Italian so this gives you an idea of how this part of town is not touristy at all. They still manage to communicate with us on what we want to order. A couple of times i been here with my friends and someone just pointed to what someone was eating to the table next to us and the waiter knew that's what we wanted haha good times. In terms of staff they all were friendly even tho we did not understand 90% of what they said. The restaurant was clean and they did not let those annoying street vendors in, you know the ones selling light up roses or some robot toy etc. There are a lot of restaurants in the touristy areas that WILL let those guys in but many do not and this is one of them. So if you want to eat your meal in peace this would be one of them. For sure try it and you will experience this American favorite in a whole new light.

The waiters at first weren't that welcoming but I think it was because they couldn't really speak English as they spoke Italian and mandarin. However once we spoke to them in mandarin they were more than willing to converse and help us out. If you do speak in English they do have some waiters that are able to communicate some words to try and help you out. Traveling through Europe there aren't that many places where we could find vegetables so coming to get what we were craving was great. I would recommend the pan fried dumplings, the beef and vegetables and some other Chinese hot plates. I had my doubts in the beginning and wasn't really planning to come here but I was pleasantly surprised and would definitely come again if I was ever in Rome and craving Chinese.
