Pircio - Interior. The restaurant is actually vast, and is intimately lit creating a fabulous atmosphere. Highly recommended.

This is a fantastic space. It's a hall type building that has been very carefully transformed into a large restaurant which successfully maintains an intimate feel using delicate lighting, cleverly created seating areas and has a large bar and pizza oven framing each end of the building. The menu's refreshing, as it's effectively a double-sided sheet with Italian delights on one side and mediterranean on the other, so if you have friends who want to eat Italian but you fancy something different or vice versa, the choice will please you in a big way. We're both vegetarian, and the selection of vegetarian food was excellent, though it's worth pointing out that like all awkward customers I set my heart on one of the meaty offerings and asked if they would be able to do me it without the meat, which the restaurant happily obliged. Top notch. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, we didn't feel rushed at all and once we asked for the bill it arrived promptly with the card machine following suit very soon after. Again top notch. The only thing we could fault was the starter, which arrived a little cooler than you would normally expect for deep fried brie, but was still delicious. A nice atmosphere, a great wine menu and effectively TWO menu's makes this an easy pick if you're looking for great food away from the usual chains. Highly recommended.

It's also basically on my street and one of the few sit downs open on weekends! However, each of my visits yielded a variable experience, meaning the quality consistency is lacking which means I wouldn't recommend it to a good friend. Not a good thing when it comes to lesser known restaurants. My first time, I was drawn in by the golden lights radiating from the bar and the warehouse lighting which looks almost chic when paired with the exposed brick and glass embellishments. Although my boss and I were the only ones here, the staff paid little to no attention to us - no greeting or any mind paid to us until we physically walked over the bar, distracting the group chatting away in their huddle. The wine was on the pricier side. The second time I came, the place was brimming with city brokers having Thirsty Thursday. The prosecco was decent and we had a nice time. Until we got the bill for the 3 shots of tequila we had which totalled £48. So that's over 15 pounds for each shot...when we queried the bill, the staff explained that the quality of the tequila he poured us explained the cost, exasperated with our stupidity. We said we were not going to pay for that just because when asked what kind, we had probably said "whatever" or "doesn't matter". Doesn't that usually mean house stuff? The third time I had post-birthday party brunch here where I opted for the Italian breakfast which means eggs, soppresetta, sour dough with pate?, tomato, and tuscan sausage. My tastebuds were (to be fair) taking a beating due to the hangover but it was just mediocre at best. Plus the stuff on the sour dough was strange and unpleasant. Canto and I are neighbours and I don't give up on my neighbours.

I had the unfortunate luck to work for Simone Remoli for a sort period of time, he loves to take employees from other jobs to try them out and then fire them after he finds someone better (basically playing with peoples lives). Just to enlighten everyone his pasta is NOT freshly made everyday and neither is the sea food that some people order with their pasta dishes, the proper name for it is like my favourite chef Gordan Ramsey likes to say it's all FRESH FROZEN. Simone Remoli could have been an inspiration to the italian food but unfortunately he is a gluttonous and egotistic person that will serve you food that has been sitting in his fridges for 5 days and freezes for months, with prices that are sky high. If any food inspectors see this review please be my guest and go forth to inspect his food. Make sure you go unexpectedly that is the best time.

However, they do their pasta to cook at home or to take away as well as to eat in. It was a nice evening so we decided to take it out and sat in the Olympic Park. The pasta was really good and they crammed a lot into the take away tubs. You choose the pasta, the sauce, the cheese and any sides and drinks you want. I had the bolognaise and whilst it was tasty, it could have done with a few more herbs and a bit more meatiness. For the price I would go there again though.

My friend and I enjoy going to new restaurants and not knowing what to expect. The menu was enticing so we thought why not!! I ordered delicious musses for my starter and a huge spinach and ricotta pizza for my main. We were so impressed by the price - so reasonable! The staff were ever so friendly and helpful as we wanted to add few ingredients to our pizzas. Very Italian decor with the Mediterranean terracotta yellow beams and flax wood tables and chairs. Setting the scene! Great place for groups, families and friends. Atmosphere is warm and relaxed and the price points are fantastic considering the amazing quality and taste of the food... Attentive waiter, took order.... garlic bread pizza was great.... then the main courses came and it all went rapidly downhill. All the food tasted "past its shelflife". Clearly cooking from frozen or with ingredients that have been hanging around far too long. The lasagne, spaghetti bolognaise and pasta seafood all tasted old, a bit rancid and bland. The lasagne I ate, I was hungry but actually didn't want to eat too much for fear of getting food poisoning. The pasta was a bit gooey as it was old and already decomposing. This restaurant is terrible, I will never go back.
