Was circling Barstow after a few nights on the road, and was ready for a good ol' pizza -- tired of the fast(er) food crap that makes the kid happy. But have the gluten challenges, so figured after Google suggested Pizza Hut has a gluten-free crust option, I'd call to see if they had it available. (And ask about salad options, just in case.) Called 'em at 6:45pm yesterday (a Thursday). Can you hold? Sure. And held, and held, and held. After 6 1/2 minutes, the wife calls the restaurant from her phone -- I'm still on hold -- and refuses to be put on hold. Do you have gluten-free crusts? She'd have to check. Do you have salads? No, just at lunch. And that was that; we headed over the Firehouse (review to follow) instead. And I hung up, still without the young girl coming back on the phone, with a 9 minute, 43 second call on the screen. THEY IGNORED US!!! I'll take my money elsewhere!! Me and my friend drove down to california from nevada and we passed by barstow as a pit stop. So we filled up and did some shopping in california and were coming back home and stopped back at barsto but we were starving. I was in the mood for pizza hut so we went to this pizza hut and we were seated and handed menus after five minutes of standing around. We washed our hands and waited for service. We waited as the waitress passed our table 3 times!!. She Kept looking away from our table and we sat there for 15 minutes waiting to get service. I then tried to get their attention but they kept looking at their computer screen and trying not to look at our table. After another 5 minutes of this nonsense Me and my friend decided to get up and walk out.. We went to Del Taco and boy was it satisfying ^_^ BEST DEL TACO EVER!! Not only did they treat us well i got a free drink :D AMAZING customer service.. Btw Pizza hut lost a customer that day and i will never go to pizza hut because of this one incident. Once a week I have 5 teenagers at my home for some VR and serious video game play. The majority of the time we have pizza along with it. Pizza Hut goes out of their way to provide a wonderful experience for me when I go and pick it up. The always offer to carry it out to my car, open the door, give me chilies and Parmesan, just anything to make this just not a pickup and leave. They treat me special. The kind of service that just makes you want to look around and buy more. Couple that with the bonus bucks towards free pizza and this is a great deal when they are running price specials. read more

The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the food was somewhat good. The toppings were tasty but the crust was undercooked. My chief complaint is their lack of customer service. I like ordering online, but it is never a smooth pickup. Last night they denied having received an order. When they finally checked they found it, but wanted to charge for it even though it was paid online. Luckily I had sent my husband a screenshot of the order confirmation, because they insisted it still needed to be paid for. No apologies from the counter person. My husband was not a happy camper. Went to pick up and went to window drive through. Pizza hut rep argued with me and said I did not pay for order. Showed her on my phone credit card was charged. Ordered at 502pm and it is 555pm still no pizza and rep has not even checked window. It's now 15 minutes past from when I drove up. I would leave but my credit card was already charged. I traveled to Barstow with my friend to visit her family, and they took us to dinner at Pizza Hut. Barstow is a pretty small town, and there were only a few other options so we decided to go with Pizza Hut since we were familiar with the menu. I was pleasantly surprised, as this location also offers a buffet, something I have not seen since growing up in Minnesota. The service was friendly and fast, and our waitress went out of her way to make sure our drinks were always full and our buffet plates were clean. The restaurant was pretty busy, but the wait was very short. The place is super clean as well. I will definitely be back the next time I head out to Barstow. read more

Worst pizza hut ever!!!!!!!! DO NOT COME HERE!!!! We stopped here on our way home from Vegas on Sunday 3-01-2015 about 7pm. The tables were dirty, the poor excuse of a salad bar looked like it was sitting there all day and the staff were really rude! We ordered 1 stuffed crust & 1 pan pizza. The pan pizza was ok but didn't have much cheese on it BUT the stuffed crust was horrible!!! It was under cooked through out & slightly raw in the crust area and it was so thin even if I folded the slice in half it was still to thin to hold its shape. We asked for a refund but they said they can't do that & just stared at us, so I asked for another one to be made and the girl rolled her eyes at us and very rudely said ok. When we asked for a box to go for the pan pizza she rolled her eyes again and tossed the box to us. So I am not the biggest fan of Pizza Hut. And today wasn't the best day but I ended up going for my boyfriends nephew birthday.. We called many different places around barstow and everything was over priced ! We asked to leave a cake and the lady was more then happy to. But I didn't think much of it. When we finally all sat down (party of 12) Katrice was more then happy to help us and give us the best deals possible!! She worked with us on everything we wanted and even offered more then what we expected. Katrice is a manger and went above and beyond for our little party!
