Owner suggested that I must try the daily special, a simple salt and black peppered Sea Bass which tasted anything but simple. Cooked to perfection - really. Even the salad mista and antipasto were absolutely amazing - so much so that I asked why these taste so much better than what I've eaten at other places for the past 30 years. He smiled and shrugged his shoulders "I don't know. Perhaps those chefs weren't Italian?" I smiled. I know when a chef wants to keep his secret, kept a secret. Charming sidewalk setting when weather permits, church bells echoing down the cobblestone streets, smell of flowering vines and voices (in Italian) discussing the ongoings of football, the changes in menu or politics. The food amount is generous but not overwhelmingly large. Owner has a great sense of humor which made leaving that much more difficult. Fantastic place for hanging out over coffee, food, beer and/or wine.
