The food was delicious and fresh tasting, the environment within the restaurant (once past the somewhat inauspicious street entrance) felt attractive and authentic, and attention from the restaurant's co-owners was faultless. The £3.90 fries were the same greasy fries from the local 3am kebab shop, expected actual potato. The venue is nice looking, very small though. We waited 15 minutes with the bill but had to go up to the counter anyway where 6 staff avoided eye contact and ignored us. When it was nearly 10 minutes and we were still waiting she came back and said just a few more minutes. Having a similar experience elsewhere before i was expecting that to turn into an hour, but no - we were seated literally 3-4 minutes later. When at the table the service staff were just as helpful with any questions we had and even managed a genuine smile which can so often lack in many places!!! Although not usually a fan of these chain restaurants i will definately be back to North Hill for the atmosphere and service alone.well done.
