The prices are not crazy but Merida is a very pizza heavy city so it's really about what are you looking for. I get the impression the decor is going for a New York pizza place, which is in theme. I've only been once and got spotty service, but Merida is certainly overall a bit hard to find long term teams with perfect service. For some folks, especially those looking for something that reminds them of NY style, this will be their spot. If you are into the New York style of pizza its worth a try, noting in advance its hard to replicate NY style outside NY. The storefront is very unassuming, so I was surprised by the huge patio seating inside. First thing I noticed when walking in is that they like to blast American pop songs over the speakers here. I haven't heard American songs at other restaurants on the trip so far, so it was nice to hear something familiar. The menu has a good selection of salads, pastas, pasta, and some meat entrees along with an extensive alcohol menu. Each pizza is offered in a small, medium, or large size. I went with a small seafood pizza (275 pesos), and my friend got a medium vegetarian pizza (220 pesos). I don't see seafood pizza on the menu very often, and I'm glad I got it as it was quite good. I thought it'd be thin crust pizza, but the crust was a little thicker than expected. The small size was perfect for me, and my friend regretted getting a medium as he could only finish half of it and had to take the other half to go. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking to get a nice Italian meal in Valladolid!

We ended up ordering the sausage pizza with onions, mushrooms, and added black olives. Perfect size that my wife and I had two large slices each. Service was good and bill came to around 500 pesos plus tip.
