It was a…read moreWednesday night so fairly quiet but after sitting down we ordered drinks which arrived 20 mins later. We then waited another half hour before anyone took our food order , there only seemed to be about 4 staff who were more concerned with the take away orders. After another half hour ( we only stayed because we were bowling later at the complex and had a half price voucher) our food arrived. It wasn't worth the wait. The food was luke warm, the pasta dish had obviously been kept warm and was dried out so that was sent back but not re ordered, and the potato wedges were soggy. To add insult to injury we were then over charged. In fairness to the staff they did the best they could and remained polite throughout but they lost 8 customers that night half price vouchers or not.

The parking is free of charge and the staff are very friendly with free drinks top ups you dont have to chase constantly and full attention at your table. The salad bar is clean and fresh and the whole place has a nice atmosphere with modern music playing. Loos are clean and well stocked, tables are cleared promptly and you can take your left overs home with you to eat if you like. They also do take away which you can order in the restaurant itself or phone through - there are specific take out deals too which is great. All in all I would highly recommend this place as a great place to have salad, pizza, pasta and a dessert - it's a nice couple, friends or family night out.

Firstly you can order online and pay by card.. big tick for me.. also by phone or of course just drop in. They have a simple to the point website and do delivery as well as pick up. They have a excellent varied menu and have a create your own section which I have used many times. My favourite though has to be the Calamaro as a seafood lover it's so difficult to get a proper seafood pizza outside a restaurant. I won't go as far as to say this is restaurant quality but it's as near as you are going to get for a local pizza parlour. The extra hot Ring of Fury and slightly milder Ring of Fire are particular favourites of my partners as he is a chilli aficionado! The Godfather will not disappoint you meat lovers but do try the curly fries .. They aren't gourmet but they are tasty! I haven't tried there pasta options.. I personally see little point in ordering pasta when it's so easily made at home but I'm sure if the pizza I'd anything to go by they are yummy to! So for approx £4 to £7 for a 9 inch pizza and £6 to £9 for a 12 inch pizza you honestly can't go wrong!

It was almost like four entirely different pizzas - each quadrant had different ingredients and they were all yummy. My favorite might have been the truffle, mushroom, gran milano... but I also love an anchovy slice! Could have been slightly crispier overall, but good pizza. We also shared a Caesar salad (pretty different than Caesars in the states - not as heavy). And an order of Buffalo wings, which I felt like tasted like a cheesy slightly curry flavored wing actually. Different than expected, and good! Also got a side dip for the pizza of chilli & basil and this was very good! Reminds me of Chinese chili garlic paste but with parm and basil cut in. Never would've thought of this myself but worked so well. I love dipping the salad's breadsticks into the chilli & basil dip. Vegan friendly spot as well! When we walked in, we were asked if we wanted the vegan menus. Nice touch for a pizza spot.
Pizza Express in Preston is located on Winckley St, slightly hidden away on a side street in the…read morecity centre. This is a fairly nice branch. The decor is nice with the open kitchen visible as you enter the restaurant, there is also a nice amount of seating and a couple of comfortable booths, which I was seated in on my visit. I was fairly impressed with my experience, the staff seemed friendly and happy to help, and they were able to make my gluten-free Pollo Pancetta pizza (This pizza was on the winter menu and removed recently, however they are normally still happy to make it as they have the ingredients). My friend ordered a Romana Florentina pizza with chicken instead of olives, again they were able to accommodate simple requests without a fuss, such as swapping the olives for chicken, and they put the egg on one side of the pizza, so my egg-loving and egg-hating guest were able to share it without a kerfuffle! They commented that they enjoyed the pizza, they found the base light and crispy and much appreciated the Romana upgrade (You can get the upgrade which is usually £1.95 free with Pizza Express' rewards as a Gold member). To drink, we all ordered a pink lady apple juice, again this is made with the finest quality apples, giving the juice a natural pink colour, I enjoyed the drink but at £3.30 per glass, I would say it is slightly pricey. Again, you may be able to redeem a free soft drink with the Pizza Express rewards app depending on your tier (I did), so it makes it more affordable. I enjoyed my gluten-free pollo pancetta (£13), I did find the cheese to be clumped together a little, however, and the passata was a little runny, but I did enjoy my meal. A fairly good Pizza Express store, and one I would return to if I'm ever in Preston again. 4*

The new set up is so stupid it removes the 1-1 service we have enjoyed in the past it is all now do it yourself the fact you push people to order via a qr code where it isn't simple to order. by the time we finally sorted out our order we could of been half way through our starter salad. Then you ask for a tip through the app i don't think so if I tip a server I do it in cash, so the company cannot take a percentage. I am so annoyed that a company I have known for most of my life has made such cutbacks and lessen the need for staff its disgusting. What is next asking customers to go and cook the food and wash up after. If you show such disregard for much needed jobs how do you think this will help your company to get out of the debt. If you don't have the staff to look after your customers you have no business. I am so sorry for the remaining staff you have that know that they might not have long left with your company. Bye bye pizza hut it was nice knowing you.

The food here is fantastic and the pricing is great. For as long as I can remember Franco's has always been my restaurant of choice for any special event. The staff are great - so friendly and welcoming. They cook the food to your specific requirements and nothing is too much. You should definitely visit Franco's if you're in the area. Why not have a day out shopping in the village of Longridge and finish the day with a meal here. I have moved away from the area (a good 200 miles haha) but always make sure I stop by when I'm visiting the area. I've eaten a lot of different dishes on the menu but my favourite have to be... Starter: Fungi Stilton (Stuffed garlic mushrooms with cheese) Main: Tortellini Barbara (Cheese stuffed pasta with a creamy tomato, chilli and garlic sauce with salami) Side: Garlic bread with cheese (very cheesy!)
