For a starter I had bruschetta, of which the bread was soggy and the tomatoes tasted slightly sad and mealy. The roast vegetables I also had as a starter surprised me, since the dish I got looked rather like a stir fry than Italian roast vegetables. Someone must have thrown a few mushrooms, broccoli and capsicums into a frying pan and thought this is it. Not too sure what this was all about.

As a main I had spaghetti with butter and sage, and got a massively loaded plate of pasta, I reckon (I hope) they meant well, it felt very weird to me. The white wine I had was served warm, and I asked for ice cubes. One of the waiters searched for ice cubes in a nearby freezer and gave some to me. While he searched the freezer he pulled out a tub of chocolate ice cream (without a lid) and placed it on the nearby counter for the time being. Funnily enough later on I saw him pulling some bottles of beer out of the same freezer. The place looks unkempt, the china was chipped, and the glasses for water and wine were smelly. There was a corner near the counter where stuff seemed to be thrown into, like paper bags, paper etc. Not what I would want to see as a guest at all.

We didn't make the effort to complain about all this, there was simply too much to complain about. I mean, what should they have done on the night we were there? Train the chef, clean up the shop, and buy new china? We didn't feel welcomed here at all, and it was a very strange atmosphere.
