I am a pizza lover and I have been looking for a place in Whittier ever since I moved here. I was wanting some comfort food today and stumble across pizza 21. I staff was super friendly I got the special which is a large pizza with 10 wings. I was so very Impressed with how good this place was the wings can stand on their own alone. The pizza is out of this world good with a light sauce and the crust is amazing. The wings and pizza is a match made in pizza heaven. I am making this my regular spot now. read more

Where do I begin! Wanted to treat my family out to pizza. Found this restaurant on Yelp, I usually base my decision by the amount of stars the restaurant has. As we walk into the restaurant we aren't greeted, as the lady w the tattoos & glasses began taking our order she was very rude and uptight. This review is solely based on how this establishment conducts them selves with their customers. Funny thing is, other ppl ordered after me & she greeted them w a smile. First time ever went there. Read all the reviews almost all 5 star, very few 4 stars and tiny amount of under 4. So I thought this mst be the best pizza ever made. Well it was NOT. It is OK, not bad but not in my top 10 or the top 10 this year. Sure it is better than Domino's, Pizza Hut and Papa Johns (but then again every pizza joint usually is). It was pricey and I noticed that they raised the price in the Jumbo Pizza (check out GrubHub for prices). Overall it was a pleasant experience. The person on the phone and the one that rung me out (not sure but I think it was the same) were really nice. I had to wait about 5 minutes for my pizza to come out. I was very disappointed once I got home because the pizza was not very hot (10 minute drive home). While the veggies tasted fresh, I could not taste much of the meat. Not sure but looks like they use part skim mozzarella, and the sauce is not memorable. The pizza crust was soft but not super tasty. Over all I found the pizza mediocre. While there was nothing horribly wrong with the pizza, the prices seemed high for a so-so pizza so it is very unlikely that I will ever be back. read more

Cheese pizza covered in pastrami, pickles and drizzled with mustard. A must try if you like the taste of tender pastrami and the tang of the pickle with the punch of mustard. Ok let me just start by saying, my mom is a picky eater lol I ordered this pizza once and loved it. Decided to have my parents over and brother and they all LOVED IT. My mom said she had not tasted a good pizza in a while. She said they don't over do it with the sauce or the cheese, and I quote what she said "it's perfect". Eh. Pizza was okay. I liked the crust. Need to use way less cheese and more sauce. Which is saying a lot in my opinion because I tend to think pizza needs more cheese and less sauce. Opposite for this pizza joint. I'm also mostly just writing this review to say the wings we ordered were the worst wings I've ever had from a pizza place. They had no sauce on them, when we ordered the sweet sauce and they were just low quality chicken. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't expecting the best quality to begin with from this place but when wings are expensive where ever they are ordered, I'd at least expect to get what I'm paying for. So the pizza was good, flavor, toppings, cheese, and sauce all had a good ratio. For my taste the pizza was undercooked but that's because I like it crispy but my mistake and I didn't say well done.
