Easily my favorite Italian place in Metz when I lived here and remains my favorite when I came back…read moreto visit with my Mom. Unlike where I now live, things don't change much here (menu and staff), which is perfect. I got to relive some good memories ordering my favorite dish here (which still tastes great even when I come back almost a decade later!):
- Tagliolini verts aux crevettes et a la sauce piquante (SO good!)
If you get dessert, I highly recommend there be more than 2 people to share it with after the meal. It is huge! I remembered ordering anything other than sorbet was a "dessert" in the form of a meal!
Staff and servers were very friendly to both my mother and I! She really wants to go back and order another dish she saw someone else get. They have a salmon salad here, which was also absolutely fresh and excellent! I leave here with no regrets. Next time I'm in town, I'll be back!
Ambience is warm lighting and tight spacing. You might be very close to your neighbors. It's very cozy. Everyone is super friendly. I'd recommend for 1-4. If you can, call ahead, or get there when they just open. Otherwise, they will likely tell you they are full, and wait can be quite long (if I remember correctly). I had taken my Mom there just before they opened and made sure we had a spot inside (otherwise, I would not recommend walking in). It is a very popular spot in town. Good luck and enjoy!
