This is a nice little gift shop located on Queen Street which is just off the High Street. It is…read moreonly a small shop spread out over three floors and it is quite cramped inside so you wouldn't really be able to look around if you have a pushchair or are in a wheelchair. They sell all sorts of contemporary and designer homeware and gifts ranging from photo albums to furniture. The prices are a little high but as they sell mostly designer gifts i suppose this is to be expected. However it is a lovely little shop and it is definitely worth going out of your way to have a look around.

Funky Divas stocks some great girl gifts like jewellery boxes, photo frames and funky light shades etc.. Stock Jo Downs glass (a local glass artist from Launceston) and Viva clay beads amongst many other lovely brands. Plenty of space to look around without feeling cramped. They also have some lovely christening/baby gifts, candlesticks, oil burners, scarves, candles, Christmas decorations, glass vases etc. They are also doing some very neat 'Wish Lists' for Christmas where you can note down things you like in the shop and slip the hint to loved ones with cash! Centrally located on the main shopping street in Tavistock. Would definitely recommend a visit!

Although this shop is listed here under the Toy Shops category, it isn't what I would really…read moredescribe as a toy shop. It does sell some soft toys but in the main it stocks quirky bits and pieces, novelty items and gifts. It has a range of hen night type joke items which aren't suitable for children at all, for example. It also has quite a large selection of greeting cards, mostly comedy ones. I used to think this shop was great in the 1980s - it was a place to find unusual gifts. It all looks really dated and tacky now - so either I've become incredibly sophisticated in my old age, or Clayhanger really haven't kept up with retails trends - I suspect the latter.
