I went in for my newly scheduled appointment, and was told after waiting about 7-10 minutes that there was no appointment on record for me. I finally got my time in the studio and my photographer was AMAZING! I don't want to lie about his name, but he was the only cool white guy there, and had just returned from Europe doing photography there. The pictures came out amazing on screen. Here is where things start to go sour again. My sales rep, Lisa, was NOT the real deal! Her service wasn't very proper to be working in a photo studio. I have had better service at Portrait Innovations (family pictures taken as recent as in November 2011) and Olan Mills. From recommending a better finish on pictures, to being patient with selecting pictures, to helping with order sheets and the order process in general (including delivery and pickup of pictures), things should be revamped, or maybe the rep retrained. Anyway, today is past the 2 weeks for my pictures to arrive, and I will be calling tomorrow to check on the status of my order. I can only hope that the service over the phone will be better and that my pictures are here sooner, rather than later.

The photographer is incredibly patient and professional, yet makes the session feel fun and natural -- no stiff poses, no "say cheese" nonsense. The photos themselves are amazing. Every shot captures genuine smiles and personality, whether it's a family session, a beach backdrop, or just everyday moments. You leave with images that look effortless but feel full of character. From start to finish, the experience is smooth and enjoyable. The staff make you feel comfortable, guide you through poses naturally, and ensure the end result is something you'll actually want to display. Highly recommend for anyone wanting professional photos without the awkwardness of a traditional studio.

I cannot emphasize enough the photographic skill and creativity of Richel Lavette. I recently…read morehosted a once-in-a-lifetime fraternity "Chartering" event that included both an early afternoon initiation, as well as a 190 person celebratory banquet including dinner, numerous guest speakers and awards to be presented. She handled both events professionally and with a great eye for framing, lighting and spontaneity. Richel Lavette is the consummate professional photographer. Her skill set includes image set up, proper lighting, images that tell a story, taking charge of large group photos with incredible tact, and looking for the small details that make a good image even better. Ms. Lavette can see what others do not. Her experience, and speed in finding the right images tell an unparalleled story. She requires initial input from the client, and once she understands the priorities, Richel can work independently with little to no supervision. But, beyond her obvious skills as a photographer, she has a strong work ethic and is always ready to capture a spontaneous moment that some photographers simply do not see. Her people skills are outstanding, and is always encouraging people to smile, and have fun while being photographed. Her greatest skills? The ability to listen, interpret, and deliver spectacular results. Lavette Photo Studios is an excellent photo studio, and I give Richel, and her studio my highest recommendations. She earned it.

Their way of treating people though made for a really struggle working with them. It's taken a while to write this review because I had such a bad experience. They lied to me multiple times. Although the comparison here is between an entertainment TV show and an intimate wedding experience, they both capture raw human emotion and empathy very well. We booked Celebrations of Tampa Bay for our wedding over the past weekend, which included photography, videography, and DJ services. I spoke with the owner, Randy many months ago while I was searching for vendors and I knew immediately after our discussion that we chose the right people for the job. Not only do they have a world of experience, but they will go above and beyond to capture the perfect shots and create a memorable experience for you. Not only that, but my father was hospitalized the day before my wedding and they all were very comforting in making this day special, even while my mind was wandering throughout the weekend. Randy continues to follow up on his condition and send his prayers, which is something a lot of people wouldn't do and our family thanks you so much for everything. I can't wait for my father to see the beauty you've created, and really capturing the essence and vision of our wedding day as if he were there with us. Best, Charles

We were even more excited when we received the email notifying us that our condensed/highlight wedding video was available (less than a month after our ceremony!). The highlight and full-length videos were wonderfully put together, and brought tears to our eyes. Needless to say, we were blown away by the results. On top of being an incredibly nice person and fun to interact with throughout the day, Randy's videography truly captured the spirit of the day. And we can't forget our awesome DJ (Dave), who kept the energy up and the party going throughout the night. Our only regret was not using Celebrations of Tampa Bay for our photographer as well. Even though many shoots didn't go exactly smoothly, their photographer and manager Tyler who has been photographing my daughter since she was born, always made it right. Well, we had an appointment scheduled for today at 8:00 pm which was the last appointment for our holiday pictures with our new adopted dog. I never got a call confirmation a day before which is usually the case so I called them at 5:30 pm to make sure the appointment is confirmed. The representative I spoke with was extremely rude, put me on hold and when I asked for her name, she refused and when I asked to speak with her manager, she hung up on me. I called back and addressed her nasty attitude and unprofessionalism with Tyler. I asked Tyler if 8 pm is still good and she said that she will speak to her employee about the situation and we are good to come at 8 pm but she mentioned that they are very busy and running an hour behind. We arrived at 8:10, when checking in and people still sitting there in the waiting area, the associate told me that they are done for the day and we are 10 minutes late so they cancelled our appointment. I explained to her that we came from 30 mins away and when I called 2 hour ago, her manager who apparently left told me that they were running an hour behind. Not only that, by how is it you cancel our appointment without notifying us? She proceeded to tell me that they are all caught up and that they put their cameras away. So I asked her when she put them away, at 8:05? And she said yes, mentioning that they only give 5 minute wait courtesy and that appointments are only 15 minutes which is completely false. She then told me to wait, and came back in 5 minutes to tell me that she can't take us. The associate who was rude to me on the phone proceeded to interrupt and say that we were supposed to be 5 minutes early and they called yesterday and left a message. Another complete lie. No calls or messages. To say that I'm in shock is an understatement. I have never encountered such terrible service in my life. It's uncalled for and extremely disrespectful. My dressed up family had to turn around and go home without our celebratory photo shoot, my dog anxious and my daughter upset. Shame on all of them. I will never again give them my business and I'll make sure to let corporate know how they treat loyal customers. Save your money, dignity and time and go elsewhere.
