The brewery is rather big and has also a large terrace on which you can sit on warmer days. The interior is very pleasant and warm and the food is quite tasty. I really appreciated that on every singe visit the service was fast and the food came in the matter of a few minutes. We sat and waited to be served. And waited, and waited, and waited. Other people, experiencing the same, had already left. Finally a waiter (approx. 25 years of age) came. Fairly rude, unfriendly! After a while a waitress served 4 beer. Two were for other people that sat also on our table. Apparently they had ordered some other beer or smaller and said someting to the waitress. She took all beers with her. Also ours! Then the waitress returned with the same order, simply putting it on the table again and leaving after having said something to the Czeck people on our table. The Czecks simply left without touching their beers. We drank our beers enjoying the view and the beautiful weather. Then I wanted to pay. Nobody came and none of our waving helped. So I went to the cash register and paid. The waiter short changed me (over 10%). So I made a remark in English (I am Dutch). The waiter gave me the rest of the change and said "Auf Wiedersehen" ("See you again" in German) in a very sarcastic tone. Probably they hate Germans or people in general. There are very nice restaurants with very nice waiters and waitresses in Modrava. This is certainly NOT one of them. We shall never go there again. read more
