Ms. Kenville was recommended by a few attorneys, we know and trust. We should have looked harder…read morefor one because she did not meet any of our expectations as a family law attorney. Our first encounter with her was 15 minutes before the hearing where she gave our son, some advice before going in before the judge. Previous to that our son had a phone conversation with her asking about some legal terms. She became agitated and told him that if he would like to discontinue services with her, he could at that time we had no other options for an attorney the other two we wanted had a long wait list. My son proceeded with her services. for the next couple months, my son would email her and it would take two or three days for her to respond or he'd call the office and the secretary was not helpful and it would take again two or three days for her to respond. We wasted a lot of time and money by her taking phone calls and looking at emails where she could've instead set up appointments in her office to go over stuff never once did she do that or suggest that. My son had mediation with her and the opposing attorney and mother to his daughter on a zoom platform. At that time Alyssa was having problems plumbing problems in her office so for three hours on and off she left the mediation to attend to the plumbers. It was very hard to meet with her and discuss things during that zoom because it was chaos, and there was no continuation of time to discuss things. It was very sporadic and she was in and out. Then when the papers came through some stuff was changed and we found those because we went over them with a fine tooth comb. Alyssa did not. She just expected my son to sign it and when he would question things, she wouldn't explain them, but would become irritable. we wish she would've taken this assertiveness to get things done for the custody hearing and all the paperwork that we had questions about. We begged our son for months to fire her. He kept giving her second chances, even though she messed up so many things, and did not feel like she was on our sons side as a father, helping him get the needed time that he deserved. Finally today he let her go, and we are so thankful for that decision so now we will have appropriate and professional representation from here on out. We strongly encourage others not to waste their time and money going to this law firm. She was just there due to her credentials we felt we did all the legwork and paperwork and countless hours reading over the paperwork and so many emails and phone calls to clarify things. It was a complete waste of money.
