Another Public swimming pool that is slipping because it does not get the TLC it needs and that the customers deserve. And it really is a shame because this pool is one of the better and more interesting ones the french Capitol has to offer. The cleanliness isn't as good as it was before. Grime and mold are taking over the showers which are in dire need of a deep clean. The changing cabins need their walls cleaned (tiles, you could just hose then down, but apparently that isn't done) and the "blind corners" behind the doors cleaned. Broken locks from the changing cabins don´t seem to get fixed so there seem to be fewer and fewer lockable changing cabins with each visit. Toilets were disgustingly dirty and smelly like they haven´t been cleaned in days. Many of the positive things I wrote about are still there and - but I am afraid that is being pushed more into the background when the showers are disgusting and you see that this place is being neglected this way.

This is not your everyday pool. But then it´s also not exactly cheap. I think 5€ for 2 hours (in…read moreSummer and the September weekends) , is too much money for what is offered. But let me start with the good stuff. The sun-deck is great - when it´s not too crowded. And the experience of swimming "on the river", looking out at the boats and stuff, that is great too. But then, you won´t be actually swimming much. You´ll be on the sundeck, occasionally popping into the pool and returning to the sundeck. This is the sort of experience this was build for. The (main) pool is tiny (25x10m), and when it´s warm outside and the Piscine is full of people - it´s more of a "standing pool" in there. It´s also nice that the water is not full of chlorine that your eyes hurt - but on the other hand it would also be nice not seeing the floor of the pool partially covered in algue. All in all, my biggest issue is the price in Summer. But that is exactly the time of the year you would want to visit this piscine and not one of the others.
