We ordered four of their massive pasta plates - meat ravioli with tomato sauce, a stuffed cheese pasta that I didn't recognize with tomato sauce, penne parisienne, and tagliatelle bolognese. Bread basket was nothing to write home about but came with two interesting spreads - both anchovy/sardine based. Tasty if you're into that but otherwise stick to the butter. Ordering was easy and our pasta was served quickly. Everything was family style but our waiter portioned the pastas onto each plate (which spared us splattering sauces all over the table and ourselves; much appreciated!). The ravioli were a little bit of a miss - too thick with too little filling but still tasty. Bolognese was meaty and well balanced while the tagliatelle was al dente. Penne parisienne was not to my tastes (very creamy/cheesy with brasilian sliced ham and peas) but it was loved by all my brasilian friends. My surprise favorite was the stuffed envelope type pasta that I couldn't get the name of. I'm not sure where it ranks on the Italian food scale for Brasil/São Paulo (tasted like 3 stars to me) but the service was efficient and accommodating of our large group. They split the bill 14 ways without a problem and we all had our fill for about 35R$ including tax/gratuity. Atmosphere was classy but the clientele was mixed - families with young children, young couples, and older folks on a date night.

THE best pasta I've tried. If you're in Brazil/sp and want…read moreto have the best experience with eating Italian food THIS is the place to go.

Here is the breakdown: PIZZA- one star I have had multiple flavors and not even one disappointed me. I even ate the crust, did not feel heavy and it is prepared at the right temperature giving that correct burn on the texture needed for the pizza. SERVICE- one star Very friendly and attentive staff. With great sense of urgency DECOR/ AMBIaNCE- one star Very classy casual spot to come with friends and family. Very nice feel to it. But definitely make reservations. It gets busy very fast. WOW FACTOR- one star Best pizza in Brasil in my opinion. Nicely prepared and always that fresh feel to it. OVERALL- one star Had a great time there. A must every time I'm there

Oh holy sweet goodness that is every bit of this place, thank you for existing!…read more Celebrating my 30th birthday in Brazil during the 2014 World Cup was a thing in itself (jealous?) But coming here for the bday dinner before drunkenly Karaoke'ing in Liberdade was one (or two) of the best decisions during this trip. The language barrier was not too overbearing, but we had been in the country a few days at this point, so we knew a few key words to get us going, also the guy that greeted us at the front (whom was very well dressed might I add) was super nice and helpful in ensuring we had everything we needed for an amazing dining experience. The Caprisi salad: Delicious. The Bruschetta: Awesome. The Pizzas: Phenominal! I had no idea Brazil was so big on pizza, they're everywhere! Something this pizza-lover was very happy to find out. Aside from the exquisitely delectable food offerings, the decor was one of the coolest restaurants I've ever been in. There is this exotic, outdoorsy - garden feel to it (it IS an indoor joint tho) truly a beautiful space. I dream of returning to Brazil one day and hopefully this amazing restaurant will still be around to help me relive that beautiful, culinary smorgasbord we experienced the first time around.

Ugh...Where do I even begin?…read more.. To preface this review, we had arrived in Sao Paulo at the hotel across the street at night. It was raining, we were hungry, and we were desperate for some good food. We looked at this place but the prices were quite steep so we checked out all the place around the area, all of which were closed. It was only 23:00!!! We didn't know businesses closde that early in the city. Anyways...we came back to this joint to sit down and eat. We got the menu and they put down some stale bread with some roasted veggies and sun-dried tomato dip. Of course, we ate it...being hungry and all. We ordered the chicken parmigiana and some basic meat sauce pasta. The waiter brought out the food...and they were MASSIVE. This makes sense that the food was pricey. This place is FAMILY style...which the waiter failed to tell us. We order two big plates that could have fed 4. The food wasn't even good! It was super simple (tomato sauce out of a can and topped with cheese) and didn't taste anything like authentic Italian. Was so sad...so much food gone to waste. Then we get the bill and they charged us for the for the bread/veggies starter. This was before we knew about how shady restaurants in Sao Paulo just place starters on your table without asking and expect you to pay if you eat it. Warning: DENY starters if you don't want them in Sao Paulo or you will pay for them...culture shock indeed. Anyways...we ended spending US$80-90 for 2 simple italian dishes...AFTER we argued about not wanting to pay for food they placed on our table. The man was furious and rude after that fact and threw the check down on our table...but we don't care. I am not going to pay for things I do not ask for. Thankfully...restaurants in Sao Paulo aren't all like this... Português : Ugh ... Onde posso começar? ...

This is another traditional italian trattoria in Jardins neighborhood…read more Be aware that italian trattorias are famous for the size of the dishes. It usually feeds 2 to 3 people. The price for one dish may be expensive, but when you divide it by the size of your party, it's ok. Although, it's still pricey in comparison to the other options at this same street. The place gets really crowded during sunday's lunch, but normal during weekdays. The food is good. They serve some breads (the restaurants in Sao Paulo may serve breads, and may charge you for them, so take a good look at the menu before accepting it!) Thumbs up for the salad. It's huge. It can feed 4 to 6 people. The agnolotti is the best option in my humble opinion. Didn't like the parmegiana. If you're alone, try to order a half sized dish.
