Wonderful risotto, but at a price.
Star 1: How was the service and atmosphere?
It's evident from the moment you walk through the door that whoever is behind the increasingly popular Brazilian chain is from Italy. The atmosphere is quaint and comfortable, and the open front allows for some great interaction with the staff behind the scenes. Service is quick and friendly even if you don't speak Portuguese. Star Granted.
Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost?
Oh my good lord. I'd been told that Brazil was expensive, but I wasn't expecting this. Yes, it was during the World Cup, which I imagine has warranted something resembling of a 40% premium, but $16.50 for this?

Yikes. No. Too much. No Star Granted.
Stars 3 and 4: How was the food?
It really was very good irrespective of the price. Risotto is often tough to really get right, but this was the perfect blend of perfectly cooked grain with generous chunks of beef and thin slices of mushroom that were huge. It all came together in a blend that needed just a bit of parmesan, but delivered. Dual Stars Granted.
Star 5: Would you eat here every day if you could?
If I could afford it? Yes, but I can't, and it's not because it's a fancy place rather than one that is simply overpriced. No Star Granted. read more
