My child was never settled there so we all decided it was best to part ways :( The classes with older kids seemed like fun and the kids there seemed to have a great time.

The school is large, modern and spotless. Everything is bright and tidy. The books are new, the desks are in good order, the hallways are bright and airy, the windows overlooking the interior courtyard are clean. We talked with some of the students who were amazed that our daughter has parents. Because they only see their teachers in the school environment, that they aren't "human" and don't exist outside the school. Funny! I've not been asked for my autograph before. Compared to her previous schools, this is leaps and bounds ahead. Perhaps that's the difference between private and public? Everything from auto tech to drama to French to AP Chemistry. The football team is outstanding as is the band program. The teachers throughout the district are highly thought of and the superintendent recently received the 2010 Missouri Superintendent of the Year.

Also, I know that every school district is going to have issues but this is my experience with this district. To start, buildings clearly need some work. Leak spots can be seen inside several buildings and some areas look rather old and unsanitary. Also, the Middle School building clearly has some issues. Administration CLEARLY doesn't support staff members and the school staff does not seem to flow together well because of bad leadership. Middle School Administration NEEDS TO CHANGE. Also, behavior issues do not seem to get resolved at the Middle School. Principals just put off the duty of discipline and make it the teachers responsibility. Due to this, the school has some MAJOR ISSUES!I do not recommend the Middle School! UPDATE: I have heard from a close source that the district admin has placed a TEMPORARY 3rd principal at the MIDDLE SCHOOL. The principals must really suck if you have to have a SUB principal come in and show you how to do your job. If you are interested in working here you better hope you have a friend or relative that works here because this DISTRICT ONLY hires people with connections to the district. To me this shows that this district does not really care about our kids. They would rather put someone less qualified in a position that has a relative working in their school than a more qualified candidate who could benefit our kids and this district!
