I go here often and am usually satisfied with their service. I went here yesterday expecting a long wait- being Easter weekend, but my daughter and I got seen right away. My daughter being 5 , this was her first nail experience and she was treated very kindly. Her lady was very gentle and nice. I won't be going alone anymore. I do not give my money to owners that do not acknowledge you when you enter or thank you for your business when you leave. You are not doing me a favor I am the one doing you a favor because you want my money. I quit going there over a year ago and I found other places much better. Based off of other reviews, I decided to visit this salon and see Henry. I must say I was very disappointed, unimpressed, and I will not be returning. His first mistake was making a very tasteless, racist joke saying that he was from Africa, laughing, and looking at me as if he was checking for approval that it was funny. I should have walked out at that moment but I was in a hurry to have my nails done for a special event. Then, he repeatedly asked me to leave him a review before he was even done with my manicure and pedicure. As he was doing my pedicure, he said, "Do it now! I want to see the review now!" You do not beg, harass, or demand people to leave a review for you. When you do great work, it will speak for itself and people will feel inclined to leave a review on their own. It now makes me question if other customers were harassed and felt pressured to leave a review also and how many of his reviews are actually genuine. I've had better experiences and better results elsewhere. I will not be recommending this nail salon to anyone. read more

The wife of the owner treated me like a dog. The owners have a "cult following" so while the owner was treating me like a disgusting useless dog, her staff piled on and treated me like a disgusting dog and then the customers, too. This all happened because I called the salon 1 week before I wanted to come in, scheduled an appointment with Katie, and was told no problem. When I went in for my appointment, I was told by the owners wife that Katie was not in today. I said I made an appointment with her. They said no you didn't. I explained again and the rude horrible wife of the owner said that they got the name confused when I called and thought I said a different name and had me scheduled with someone else. For some reason, her and her friend decided to speak in another language about me for the whole 45 minutes I sat in the waiting room waiting for my appointment which was scheduled with the wrong person. If my appointment was scheduled, just with a different person, why did I wait in the waiting room for 45 minutes while they waited for someone to become available for me? Then, when you finally take me back for a pedicure, it's not even the fake person you pretended I made my appointment with. I'm sitting in a pedicure chair for another 25 mins while nobody helps me. I look over at the male doing the pedicure next to me and ask who will be doing mine? He gives me the worst attitude problem as if him and the entire salon have been waiting for me to freak out at them for the amount of time I've been waiting and I finally gave into their disgusting plan. This man treated me like I just murdered his entire family. He began to speak to me in a disrespectful manner and even began to talk to the client he had in his chair about me and how I'm so impatient. I explained to the both of them that I had been waiting and waiting and had an appointment. The client in the chair next to me clearly drinks the koolaid at the nail salon and thought "oh well I'm getting service so who cares if the woman next to me is being treated like a dog." And the client next to me had the audacity to take on the same vibe as the rest of the salon and began disrespectfully speaking to me when all I asked was when it would finally be my turn. This nail salon was purposely treating me like crap all because I made an appointment and inconvenienced them? I think the owners wife doesn't like me because I'm always so nice to the owner and that upsets her for some reason and she finally got the chance to disrespect me and abuse me when he wasn't around and she took the opportunity and ran! It has been 2 years since this happened and I still remember what the owners wife did to me when the owner wasn't there. Shame on you! I will never go to diamond nails because I know it's the same owners just trying to redeem themselves since they've burned so many. Very disappointed. Poor quality. The technician didn't fully push back or trim the cuticles. The clear coat is visible because it was slopped on... and doesn't cover the whole nail. I went the other day, felt very rushed by the front desk lady to do everything it felt like they were trying to get me over with as fast as possible to get the next client. My manicure looks nice and the lady was lovely. My pedicure, however, was horrible. I paid for the "Deluxe Pedicure" which to my memory included a 15 min massage, hot stones, scrub, callus removal, polish, and some other things. The "massage" if you could even call it that was horrible. The lady was basically just rubbing her hands up and down my calf and didn't even touch my feet once. She kept scratching me too. She also literally put the hot stones on for 1 minute it was useless. I also got gel french tips and they are the worst ones I've had before. They're very uneven and squiggly. For $100 not including tip I was pretty disappointed especially because I hadn't had a spa day in a long time and was looking forward to it. read more

Pretty in Pinky It's a really cute shop, efficient. Lotsa colors from which to choose. I'm your basic mani/pedi person, not a lotta frills, gels, etcs and they do fine by me. Prices are in-line and everyone has been professional however I noticed in recent visits that conversation seems very limited between client/nail tech. I'm all for exchanging pleasantries and maybe some small talk, but it seems to be discouraged here. Maybe like they are trying to keep the ambiance *quiet* with just music filling the empty air and while I kind of like this concept, at the same time, it feels a little unusual. A room full of people and very little chit chat. And honestly, I don't know - could be just me noticing it but it struck me as a little different than most other nail places. Not good or bad, just different. I'll keep going and see what I hear. In the meantime, I do like what I see...lovely nails. read more

I needed to have my nails done recently as I was in my friends wedding. I had an appt for toes and acrylic nails both with gel polish. The pedicure was wonderfully relaxing and I enjoyed it. Then I had to wait 40 minutes for someone to do my nails. That kind of sucked. The girl doing my acrylics was very fast and I was thinking she must be good at what she does. When she began putting the polish on it was noticeable that she was just rushing through... the polish on my thumb nail wrinkled and she sternly told me I need to keep my nails under the light and that this was really really bad. Well I had been keeping my nails under the light so I was kind of taken aback that this was somehow my fault.. she just continued to paint over it. At the end of the service she told me to take a picture of the polish incase the thumb messes up in a few days... are you serious? Anyways, now I have several nails that the top layer of the gel has chipped and it looks like garbage and it's been a week. Also the acrylic seems to have been applied over some of my skin so as it's growing out looks awful too. Really not pleased and I should have spoken up while I was there. read more

I tried this place before for a pedicure and was not thrilled. Thought I would give it a try for SNS manicure last night.... never again! First, my appointment was at 6pm - (I arrived at 5:50) I was the last one to leave the salon at 7:30 (customers came in way after me and left way before I did). My nails are lumpy, uneven and my cuticles were barely cut. I firmly believe they gave me a tech that was practicing the SNS technique. I'm embarrassed to show my hands in meetings today. I asked several times to fix my lumpy nails - I was exhausted sitting there so long and finally just let him finish. The tech was nice but not experienced..they did not accommodate my request to have a SNS tech do my $45 manicure. I work way too hard to spend over 1 1/2 hrs there and waste $45 on this manicure. I've lived close to this salon for a year and hadn't gone in because the other reviews are so hit or miss. This place is great. Amy was my nail tech and I'd definitely request her. She did a great exfoliating pedi and mani. I was able to relax. She helped figure out the right nail shape for me. (Square. No, more round. Okay a little rounder. Okay a little more square. Perfect.) My nails were completely even, as were my toes. Idk why, but more often than not, my nails aren't perfectly even. Amy did it perfectly, and without making small talk. Another employee came by and said something to her that made her laugh and she told me what it was- he'd joked it wasn't busy, but it was. It was cute she let me in on their joke, which wasn't necessary. It had been wayyyy too long since I'd had a mani pedi and my cuticles and feet were ROUGH when I went in. I left with them looking like I get mani pedis regularly. Environment is peaceful, for as busy as they were. Open space, lots of marble decor, a lovely chandelier, and spa music. Only drawback: when I went to sit for my nails to dry, there was one other woman there. We sat there quietly. A third woman came over and spoke loudly on the phone. When you're sitting a foot away from two other people, that's pretty obnoxious. Since they have plenty of signs requesting tipping in cash, maybe a no cell phone sign could fit there, too. They have a suggestion box literally on that table, so I guess I should have put the suggestion in that box, but I left with my nails still wet. Bad attitudes, including owner. 3 out of 4 times I feel very disrespected, they don't listen to what you want, either they don't understand or they don't care...I'm pretty sure they just don't care. I've been to at least 8 different people, keep giving it a chance, but I go home every time and have to file my nails to make the shape I want. Worst part about this place is the cold attitudes towards paying customers. Also the pedicures aren't very good...they rub just your calf up and down until it's raw and never massage your feet or toes. I go home with rough heels even tho I got the more expensive pedicure on their menu...And their nail prices are different every time you go. This is the WORST nail salon. The owner is a complete jerk. I feel so bad for his staff. Don't bother making an appointment. You won't get in at the time you asked for. If you enjoy being yelled at, go here. The owner will make sure to do it even if you ask a simple question. You also don't need a mask to enter. It's also over crowded. If you get a pedicure you won't get time to let them dry. You'll be asked to move right away and the drying station is being used by people waiting for their appointment that was over 30 minutes ago. Oh and if you request multiple services, if they take more walk ins they no longer have time for your other services. I also watched the owner tell a dad who brought his daughter in for a pedicure that he didn't have time for her but then took an adult walk in shortly after. The cost was a little above average but not horrible and I gave her a very nice tip. Two days later and every day since then the dip on my nails began chipping, which I have never experienced before. I came in for a manicure ahead of a wedding and the technician that did my nails did a good job but then after the top coat, had to go back and touch up spots in the outside corner of my nails (since they are very flat) and wouldn't you know it? The manicure didn't even last 24 hours before it started chipping away! I barely made it long enough to get though early afternoon pictures before it started chipping off the corners. Now it looks a mess and i haven't even made it through the weekend. The basic manicure was $15 and it was really basic, plus $5 for white tips and their preferred method is all in cash. I really thought nails were going to the their specialty since they had so many stands but I guess if you aren't getting a sets then they may just want to get you out of the chairs for the people who are coming in for them. read more

But there have been things at the salon that I've turned my head about but today was the last straw for me! Made a 30 minute drive to my appt to be told my nail tech isn't working today. They said they called twice! Looked at recent calls. The lady pointed out a name I couldn't pronounce and the person did call twice at the same time. Didn't leave a message. I didn't mind that they took me 10 minutes late, but then my daughter had to wait 35 minutes after. I let my nail tech know- she starts speaking her native language to her co worker in front of me- I don't have to understand Vietnamese to know that they were talking about me-making facial gestures- which is extremely rude and unprofessional. She continued to tell me that patients have to wait for doctors appointments all the time. There are plenty of professional nail salons with excellent customer service out there- I wont be back nor recommend Pinkys salon on Dove Valley. read more
