Wow! You find…read moreyourself in the middle of nowhere. In undeveloped and very unpopulated territory. Having driven miles after miles in the dead of night with only your headlights to guide you and in the snow. You've passed a couple of gas stations a long the way that were CLOSED and you don't know how much longer before you reach another station that has gas that will be OPEN. How much longer to reach for food? How much longer to reach for a bed or a shower since you've been driving straight for days? Low and behold this place that looks like a trucker's stop with only 2 small gas pumps and some buildings that look like construction site offices was my savior. This definitely is a lesson in don't judge a book by it's cover. I was able to get gas, hot food (although cafeteria style), they had showers and also they had warm beds to rent out and very nice people. The guy ran out in the freezing cold and filled my tank and didn't stare at me and give me the "@@@@" attitude. This place gives me a nostalgic feel of a true trucker's stop straight out of a great movie. But if you're a wimp then just go across the road to Buckinghorse River Lodge.
