Easily found at mile 143 on the Alaskan Highway. A great tent site or RV camp. They have winterized sites available all year round. Full and partial hook-ups and all fuels at as reasonable a cost as you can expect out here.
There's a small convenience store with most everything from clothing to food and souvenirs. Even a limited selection of fishing gear. It's run by a charming lady that set the dogs up with a hot dog on our first visit.
I'd never seen coin operated showers before, but they're clean, as are the bathrooms and the whole area is secure.
Sani-dumps and a water station is available. They even have wi-fi and a post office! You could spend a bit more time than planned!
The biggest drawback was an excess mosquito problem. I hate mosquitoes. Maybe a better go at the landscaping would help. Other than that, the place is incredibly laid back and the scenery is breathtaking. 10/23 read more
