All food we ordered were delicious. The service was amazing. The waitresses made sure we got what we ordered. The food came not too long or too fast. The place got crowded pretty fast. But it was not too loud.

Went here for a work dinner and the food was really so good, huge portions are great to share. The service was amazing and the restaurant had a very nice interior. I especially love the spicy beef combination and we got some sticky rice with brown sugar for dessert.

Good food. Decent amount of items to select from on the menu. Courteous staff. Clean and organized interior. Parking lot on site. Good amount of parking during the weekdays. Not so much on the weekends.

TLDR: Spicy Place. Very Traditional Chinese. I think if you like spicy Chinese food, this place would probably be 5 stars. As my wife and I can't really handle spiciness, we are unable to appreciate the quality and flavor of the spice. But that being said, she really enjoyed the non-spicy dish that she ordered. It's a cabbage and pork dish, which could be ordered non-spicy. It was full of flavor, salty, a bit of oil, and some umami in there as well. I don't like vegetables (I just eat it for my butt's sake), and I couldn't stop myself from eating it. We tried to order a rice noodle dish (Mifen) with minimal minimal spice. I could handle it, but my wife couldn't. I'm man enough to admit... I coughed a bit... and drank a LOT of water. What my wife could taste of the dish, she thought the noodles were cooked very well. Al-Dente. I managed to finish the rest of it, mostly by picking out all the red seeds I could and downing half the water. Oh, btw, I should mention... the Menu is online. And completely in Chinese. So... if you can't read chinese, make sure to bring someone who likes spicy and can. Wait staff was pretty friendly as well. Although they did give us our bill a bit early because they were going on their lunch break. We didn't really go that late... maybe 1:15 or so. It was pretty empty by the time we went, maybe 4 tables or so? Also... if you download their app and make a comment or something, you get a free tamarind sparking water. It was pretty good to douse the FIRE in my mouth. Will we go back? Unfortunately no, but not because of the quality or service or anything. It's just not our kinda cuisine, so there were limited options for non-spicy.

I heard this restaurant is one of the best Chinese restaurants in the Bay Area, so I definitely needed to check it out. The owner opened two Ping's bistro stores in Fremont, and we went to the newer one that just released some new dishes featuring Yun Nan cuisine. Everything was fantastic tbh, great flavors, different layers of textures, and very friendly service. My favorite dish was sautéed lotus rootlet, and it's my first time having lotus rootlet. I really liked the texture. It's much crispier than the regular lotus root slice's texture. With a little bit spicy flavor, I couldn't stop eating it!

Have been here twice, both times the food was excellent. This place serves authentic Chinese that tastes just as good as the real deal in China. I noticed the menu has changed slightly as well which is good so that there are new dishes to try. Some dishes I recommend: Braised pork belly with blaze mushroom. Very tender pork belly and went well with mushroom, very flavorful. Sauteed eggplant with string beans: tasted soooo good, didn't expect a vegetable dish to be so delicious, very flavorful too Shredded cabbage with pork: Stew rice with ham sausage seasonal greens: it's a big pot of rice to share, a bit pricey but delicious. The rice was a little crusted too Minced pork with chives stir fry: didn't see this dish the second time but the fresh taste of the chives went well with pork Basically almost everything tasted very delicious and will come back! Service was good too, expect a wait (but it's worth it)

We came on Chinese New Year Eve and were worried about the wait time. Surprisingly, the wait was only 15 min. I love their wide selection of Yunnan food. The portion is generous. The food is towards the spicy side and unfortunately they don't allow adjustment of spicy level for Yunnan dishes. They also had a special menu for Chinese New Year. Food ordering is via QR code, which makes it faster.

Not sure why the reviews for this place is so low, but it's actually an excellent restaurant! It's a newly furnished place at one of the newer plazas in Warm Springs. They only had indoor seating, but it's a nice and modern place. This place serve food that's more of Hunan and Sichuan style. For the main entrees, we got the Spicy Sliced Angus Beef in Steel Pot for $21 and the Country Style Sautéed Pork with Eggs and Black Fungus for $18. The online ordering system is really easy to use and convenient to place your orders. The spicy beef came with a bed of peppercorn and dried peppers, and it can definitely numb your mouth and make you sweat. I usually have a good spice tolerance, but it took me a while to get over the numbing sensation from the peppercorn. It definitely fulfilled my crave for spicy food, so I still enjoyed it very much. However, the item that really stood out here was the baked purple yam topped with cheese ($6.99)! This was like the perfect combo of savory cheese over sweet, mushy purple yam - it's literally two of my all-time favorite items combined into one dessert. I think this Warm Springs' location of Ping's is the only one that has this dessert, so I highly highly recommend everyone to try it out.

Schedule drive-by ended up in scoring in the excellent food on the restaurant opening. Very interesting atmosphere and design. Place is equipped with leather booths, standalone tables and larger tables for the big companies. Excellent service although not too many personnel speak English. Get your interpreter on the way there. Would highly recommend to try Sliced Pork In Spicy Garlic Sauce for $9.99 as well as Live Fish in house special spice soup $39.00. Also add some Jell-O for dessert and I don't really recall the name of the dish. Overall will be back for more pleasant experience and will invite friends to visit. Xie xie Ping's Team.

Thinking back on my delicious dinner at Ping's Bistro in Fremont, two things stand out for me: the…read moredelicious food, and the heat level. We ordered a variety of dishes, and all of them were fantastic. As my friend mentioned, a little bit saucier than you'd typically find in China, but still good. And we ordered everything extra spicy. The "Premium stir-fried beef with yellow peppers (with broth, Angus beef with brisket fat)" was a great saucy start to the meal, it had a nice sour flavor to go with the mild-medium heat and was very fresh tasting. "Husband and Wife Lung Slices" was good, standard and a smidge oily, but tasty. The tendons (there are no lungs, just beef and beef tendons) were cooked nicely, with just a hint of chew but tender. Again mild-medium "Stone Pot Flavored Frog" is where things started to get really good. This was one of the best dishes of the night, and the best frog I've ever had. So tender, with a nice crispy exterior, and so much flavor. This was delicious. If you've never tried frog, this is the one to get. A nice break from the heat was "Braised Pork Belly with Preserved Mustard Greens". I was told that this was a bit leaner than what you'd expect in China, but for me the meltingly soft, rich pork belly and chewy greens made into little mantou-tacos was great. It has a nice sweet/sour flavor and zero heat. Now, by far the spiciest dish we ordered was "Double Pepper Chicken Noodles". Delicious noodles, fresh chilies, great almost crispy texture from the wok, but this was firmly in medium-hot category. Everyone started to sweat and get runny noses eating this one. But the flavor was addictive. Some notes - the parking lot is big, but you may have to walk a bit. This is because this restaurant on a Saturday night was absolutely packed. I came around 6:30 and there were 9 tables on the waitlist ahead of me. I wouldn't say it moved quickly, and the area to wait in is cramped. So best bet is to come early or go wait somewhere else. They have an online waitlist that sends a text when your table is ready, so there's no need to stick around being jostled by people entering and exiting. Service was efficient. My friend ordered (in Mandarin) so I didn't follow what was happening, but the food arrived very hot and very quickly, and they nicely pack up your leftovers themselves. Overall - fantastic. I found some new favorites, had some good versions of things I already like, and while it certainly isn't cheap it was worth it. Oddly enough they added an 18% tip automatically. Fair enough, I would normally tip 20% for dinner but if 18% works I'm not complaining. Unfortunately the location isn't convenient for me and the food would be a bit challenging for most of my friends, so I probably won't be back soon. But anyone who wants some authentic and spicy and interesting Chinese dishes would be happy coming here.

If I were to sum up my meal in one word, I can do it easily: salty. Every dish I've tried today was…read moreincredibly salty. Though I prefer my food a little bit more flavorful, Ping's Bistro really shot every single flavor up. The Steamed pork belly with preserved vegetables was served first, and without a doubt, is one of the spiciest. It's a good size for sharing, but the preserved vegetables on the bottom was mushy and came in a very small portion. Though supposed to be a part of the dish, seemed to be thrown in just for some extra flavor. Though I selected mild spiciness for the Spicy Boiled Fish, it was still REALLY spicy. Maybe it's my spice intolerance, but this dish lights a fire in your mouth. Also, this dish is mala, so it numbs your mouth. Some people may enjoy this sensation, but it's a pass for me. The fish was really soft and tender though. The fish was my favorite part of the Spicy Boiled Fish. Not only there is fish underneath, it was surprising to see other ingredients like lotus, vermicelli noodles, and much more. The salted egg covered pork was extremely salty and oily. I was surprised to know it was boneless, and I felt like the salted egg crust is too thin, which let the taste of the pork overthrow any type of salted egg taste. The Country Style Sautéed Pork with Eggs and Black Fungus was again one of my preferred dishes, though it was extremely oily. I really liked the egg, black fungus, and bell peppers in this dish. The eggs and black fungus were soaked with flavor and the bell peppers balanced out the heaviness. The pork was also alright, but more on the tougher side. If you were to come to Ping's Bistro, I would advise you to order the Country Style Sautéed Pork with Eggs and Black Fungus. The floors were really sticky, but other than that, everything was alright. The water was poured messily, but I guess it's no big thing. The staff were really quiet and avoided interaction. When they serve your dish, they never wait an extra second before they leave for any questions or requests. They just drop the dish and zoom away. From my review, just remember: saltiness. I'm not convinced that I'll come back again, but I'm glad I tried it out.

While I understand that this is the new way for restaurants to serve guests post-covid, the vast menu items you have to scroll through makes me long for physical menus of the past - but that's just my boomer take for the day. There were a bunch of other items like rice and noodle dishes that looked interesting to pair with the meats, but we were only craving bbq so we skipped out on the carbs. We ordered a BUNCH of skewers, from the standard beef, lamb, pork belly to chicken skin and a fried quail. All of the skewers had the same type of dried chili powder spice seasoning mix so unfortunately there wasn't too much of a diversity in flavor profile but on the flip side, it allowed us to focus more on enjoying the meat quality itself (this is where rice or noodles would definitely help cut through the richness). All of the meats were incredibly well-cooked and charred. It is on the drier side, so be aware if you are looking for a juicier, plumper cut of meat that some other restaurants have. Paired with the Chinese vinegar, soy sauce, and chili oil, they were super delectable. My personal favorites were the pork belly, chicken skin, and beef. We had some leftovers to go and the staff provided us some extra sauce to go so that's a big plus. Great food here and definitely will be back to try more of the other menu items for the full experience.

The cuisine is more western China focused with the Chinese hamburger (肉夹馍) and big plate chicken (大盘鸡). Parking is ample in the plaza, and service is very fast. You can see the kitchen and its workflows from the outside, sort of like what you see at Marugame. Spoiler alert, the noodles really are handpulled and the kitchen is very clean! I ordered a Lanzhou Beef noodle soup and Chili Oil noodle. The broth in the Lanzhou noodle was very savory and perfectly seasoned. They also respected my comment for mild spicy, and it was one of the only times I drank almost all the soup since I did not taste artificial powders or too much white pepper. The Chili Oil noodle was also ordered with mild spice, and the noodles were so chewy and perfect, I can't wait to come back here already! We just wished the chili oil noodle had more meats, since there were like only a 2 or 3 slices of beef. Otherwise, portion sizes were also big for the price point, and the quality was beyond my expectations. Since it was our first time here, we were a little cautious and just ordered what we needed.
