[[HIGHLIGHT]]Dining room felt very clean and very nice to dine in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The menu is a little bit on the pricey side, but the portions are huge to compensate. Tried Ping's Bistro and had a really enjoyable meal. We ordered several dishes to share, and everything came out fresh, flavorful, and well prepared. The crispy fried dish was probably my favorite -- crunchy on the outside, juicy inside, and especially good with the spicy, tangy dipping sauce and a squeeze of lime. The beef dish had a nice savory flavor with plenty of peppers and just the right amount of heat. I also liked the stir-fried vegetables with egg, mushrooms, and meat; it was lighter and balanced out the richer dishes nicely. One thing I appreciated is that the food didn't just taste salty or oily -- the different dishes actually had distinct flavors and textures. Portions were also good for sharing family-style. Overall, a solid Chinese restaurant and definitely a place I'd come back to, especially with a group so we can order more dishes to share.

Trying something new with the crew Tried out Ping's Bistro in Warm Springs and it did not disappoint. We went all in on the spice: spicy beef combo (level 2), lettuce stem salad (level 1), and the Yunnan-style spicy & sour papaya fish soup (level 1). The soup was hands down my favorit. That perfect spicy + sour combo just hits different. You need to get a sweet drinks to go with the spicy! An automatic 18% tip is added to the bill, but the waiter are very nice and let us know about it. They also helped with packing the leftover food.

I didn't order so unfortunately, I don't know what all the dishes were called. But what I do know is that everything was amazingly yummy! I've never been here and was invited by a friend who said this is the type of food from her home town in China. The mushroom and beef dish was so tasty. Everything had great flavor and the veggies were so fresh. One of the shredded chicken dishes was pretty darn spicy, but I still ate it. While everyone else moved on to dessert, I just kept picking all the dishes clean. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We got to sit in the sort of private room in the back because we had a large party.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was great. I will have to go back as I didn't get to see the prices, but just for the yummy food for sure!

I absolutely love the Spicy Frog! It's seriously addictive and a must-order every time I come here. The Thai-style grilled fish is also delicious. Highly recommend both dishes!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]place is quite big with great ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] staffs are nice and service is quite fast. menu is a bit different with ping's bistro at fremont boulevard. basically for me, almost all dishes are too oily and since cauliflowers is my favourite dish, a bit disappointed cause i will say a bit overcooked, i think. the rest is just mediocre. i will say three stars at this time...

Very authentic Yunan food, cannot find a better restaurant in the Bay Area. Recommend fried rice with bacon, green onion with beef, fried ribs, bbq fish.

All the dishes we ordered were really, really good. Full of strong tasty flavor, and goes really well with lots of rice. We ordered: My favorite was spicy beef combination in steel pot. It contains beef tripe, sirloin, and cow louver: 5/5 Shredded cabbage with sliced pork:5/5 Chicken Soup w. Wild Fungi in Yunnan Steam Pot: 4/5 less strong flavor but very warm and comforting Black bone chicken with chili and lemon 4/5. Special to yunnan tribe. This was more like a cold and refreshing dish. Pig feet 5/5, really good. Couldn't find the name of the mushroom dish that I'd give 10/10 to. I highly recommend it though.

Great meal as always. The portions were generous and the flavors were consistently excellent, just as good as every previous visit. Definitely one of my go-to spots and I'll keep coming back.

We started with the One Piece Mixed Salad (tofu skin, vermicelli noodles, woodear mushrooms, carrots, celery, seaweed, and peanuts, all mixed in a savory, acidic, and spicy dressed ) and the Shredded Potato Salad, both of which made for nice appetizers. We also had the Cold Skin Noodles (Liangpi), a bowl of wide, chewy noodles mixed with a savory sauce and topped with tofu puffs, shredded cucumber , bean sprouts, and a creamy sesame sauce. Hailing from Xi'an, the Braised Pork Pita Burger was fatty pieces of pork braised in a savory sauce, served in a dry round of "pita," but even better was the Spicy Cumin Lamb Pita Burger, which contained a tantalizingly spicy, flavorful filling of tender spiced lamb. The Signature Beef Bone Noodle Soup came with noodles in a simple broth, topped with three bone-in beef ribs. The meat on the ribs was rather tough and sinewy, and the soup on the bland side, but the presentation of the dish was definitely impressive. Finally, the House Special Braised Dry Noodle was a bowl of noodles topped with a savory sauce with lots of different dried ingredients including tofu, s mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms, and red bell peppers. For each noodle dish, you could select from a variety of noodles, but my favorite by far was the 2cm "General Wide" noodles, which had an amazing chewy texture. Overall, this was a great restaurant for authentic Northern Chinese noodle dishes and other eats. Everything came out from the kitchen in just minutes after we ordered. The tasty dishes came at a good value, and the service was super friendly too!

There seems to have some menu change since the last time we came. We ordered 2 dry noodles and a cold spicy pig ears appetizer. The pig ears were piled up with no fillers - something hard to find these days. You can select the type of noodles so I picked the widest while my husband picked the middle one. I love the el dente texture of the noodles giving it a bit of chew. My braised pork belly dry noodles was not dry... very watery which was not to my liking. I want my dry noodles with as little gravy as possible. The flavor was light despite all the gravy, but the veggies and one egg made it up. The house special dry noodles had just the right amount of gravy for taste but not enough ingredients. I was wondering why the restaurant is called One Piece... I guess the entire bowl of noodles is one piece noodle as it was hard to eat as all the noodles are tangled. No complaints here just need to be careful with the splashes on your shirt. Overall the food was good, service was decent as we were offered actual menu instead of only using QR code to order. The place was not small with plenty of table. A bit noise as with all Chinese restaurants.

I actually have one of Ox 9's other locations bookmarked but when I found out there was a branch in Fremont, I detoured to try them out. I came on a weekend for early lunch, and the restaurant was quite empty and spacious. There is a window that allows you to see where the sausage (noodles) get made (pulled). Located in a strip mall, there is ample parking. Two friendly women told me to sit wherever and order via QR code. I deliberated for a hilariously long time over the width of my noodles but ultimately decided on the beef and pickled veggie noodle soup with the thin flat noodles, as well as an order of the lamb skewers. The food came out reasonably fast, given that the noodles are hand-pulled, and the portions were HUGE. The lamb skewers were highly rated online and I can see why. They are perfectly spiced and so flavorful, without being so coated that the texture changes, and they have the PERFECT fat to lean ratio so they were unbelievably succulent, but not cloying. An order is 3 decent-sized skewers and I absolutely housed those. Next I was served a huge bowl of steaming, fresh noodles. The small flat noodle was the perfect size for me, as they were already quite wide. I was not looking to chew through literal dough sheets so I am glad I didn't opt for any wider noodle size. The texture of the noodles was sublime, so QQ so springy, you can really tell that they are hand-pulled. The slight imperfections and difference in thickness between noodles gave each bite a unique chew that was so addicting. I wish the physical dimensions of the bowl were a bit bigger because the noodles were a bit tangled and clumpy and I would have liked a bit more room to mix and spread them out. The beef noodle soup broth was just ok, I think the flavor could have been a bit deeper and stronger, but I could appreciate a savory beefy flavor. The pairing of pickled vegetables and tender beef is a classic though, and I do appreciate the clean, soothing taste. There is chili oil, soy sauce, and vinegar at every table so I added a bit more salt and spice to mine. Portions were HUGE and I was already getting full from the lamb skewers, so I took a good amount home. I packed the noodles and soup separately, and the superior gluten formation of fresh noodles held up to a day in the fridge, and were still quite tasty when reheated on stovetop. I loved this place and would absolutely return to try the other noodle dishes and noodle dimensions, as well as get more of their fabulous skewers.

I immediately became concerned and looked it up, then smelled the rice and noticed a very sour, unpleasant smell. Unfortunately, my partner ended up feeling sick afterward, which made the experience even more concerning. The XLB was still good, and I did enjoy that. However, the spicy wontons were disappointing. The wonton wrappers seemed to have absorbed a lot of the oil from the spicy sauce, making them taste very starchy, heavy, and oily rather than flavorful. It's disappointing because I really enjoyed my first visit and was looking forward to becoming a returning customer. Our 3rd time ordering: #8 Mi Trieu Chau egg noodle soup and #29 fried daikon cake. The egg noodle - soft and soggy! It should be chewy and crunchy. The soup is bland, has the boiled watery taste and smell of the noodle. It's like the noodles were not rinsed properly. The daikon cake does not have daikons. After the 3rd time I finally pointed this out to the server, he checked with the lady owner and she said that it's additional add on. Overall: The service - fast and workers here are sweet (5 stars), The food - bland and inconsistent, I'd like my daikons since the menu and receipt show daikons! (Zero star)
