This boutique is really cute, very well decorated, and very nice clothes/jewelry. I have been there several times and have yet to purchase anything. First of all, these prices are outrageous. $200+ for a regular pair of jeans? That's crazy! Whether I find a necklace, tee shirt, shoes, or pants, I'm guaranteed to be spending over $30. Secondly, as much as I've came in to look around, I have never been properly greeted by employees. That's a bummer to me, I'm big on a welcoming environment where I'm going to be spending my money. This boutique is great quality and always clean. I can say, I'm really impressed with the "Alex & Ani" bracelet cabinet. It's impossible to find anything Alex & Ani around here, so I am quite happy about that. The clothes seem to be good quality, and are indeed very fashionable. I just can't bring myself to spending so much when there's other places around offering similar styles for a cheaper price. I do hope to see this place stay around the area, but until prices are lowered I can't see it getting the business it deserves.

The first time, I felt the staff to be very rude. Not one person greeted us, nor did they ask if they could help us. Yesterday, my daughter and I returned to the store that we had been in about 4 month earlier. We received the exact treatment. The beautiful lady that was working there DID NOT have a smile on her face and did not greet us. We thought we were the only ones in the store. There was another mother and daughter in the store trying on some clothes. They were putting the clothes back on the rack. The worker rudely said, I can put them back. I loved the comment from the customer as I am sure she felt the rudeness too. The customers response was "am I not doing a good enough job or don't you want me to do this." I loved that she commented back! Just like Lauren C's comment. The worker did not thank us for stopping. I guess we did not look "good enough" to shop at Poppy's. Returning back to the store again....I don't think so. Do they even care

It had beautiful plants and the employees were all friendly and very informative. The selection was perfectly curated and laid out beautifully throughout the store. I felt like I had room to shop as nothing was crammed together. It had a nice boutique feel to it. The quality of the clothing seems to be top notch and very fashionable. I wanted everything that I came across in the store. I haven't gotten this excited over a shopping experience in years! I would compare it to my previous favorite shopping experience at Free People, but better. I was also pleased to find out that they have a website so that I can shop from the comfort of my home. My aunt knew they carry Kate Spade, so that is what I immediately gravitated to (it's my favorite brand). We were able to pick out two pieces (a skirt and a top) from Kate Spade at reasonable prices - the top was on sale, which never happens in normal stores! Laura of Pembroke also had Kate Spade jewelry on sale, which I was all around really impressed with because, as I said, Kate Spade rarely goes on sale. Aside from the luxury brands, Laura of Pembroke carries a lot of reasonably priced, unique clothes. The sales associates were friendly and helpful, so I'll definitely make a trip to Laura of Pembroke when I'm back in town!
