I was staying at a fairly new local hotel that did not have any place to clean my clothes; yes I know...unbelievable, but true. Pine Knoll was the closest facility that was open. Although the owners aren't 'slum lords', it is just a basic wash house. It's machines are operated by a card system instead of coins; definite sign the owner is trying to save money on someone needing to be physically there. The laundry detergent machine was empty, so I had to buy a cap of detergent from someone washing their clothes. The bathroom was a mess with no toilet paper nor hand towels, but otherwise, the washers were new and in good order. It's still 2 Stars for me. read more
