We were greeted by an exceptionally nice and professional male host when we arrived, who promptly seated us. Our female server was not the greatest, yes she was pretty proficient, but not the friendliest, very short with me to be honest. The food was really good. We enjoyed the cheesy crab dip and the ahi tuna was good (can't really go wrong with ahi tuna). There was a really obnoxious couple who were playing music outside where we were trying to enjoy a peaceful lunch, something which management should have put an end to, because it definitely irritated their patrons. From the moment I walked in there was a peculiar restroom smell . My family and I ordered the fish dip and it had a refrigerator taste so we sent it back , the service was mediocre our server was also the bar tender so it was a bit slow. Located in "old town" Cape, this is a truly delicious seafood restaurant. Ambiance is very casual and the restaurant is on the water. I had the haddock fish fry, with a choice of two sides, so I opted for fresh cut fries and green beans. My Mom had the special of the day, grouper and chose to have it blackened. The fish was fresh and delicious. As I was eating my fries, a manager came over and said that he noticed my fries looked "soggy" and immediately placed a basket of fresh fries that were pipping hot. I was like, "Oh, how wonderful!" They were delicious and I was really surprised by this, seeing I was eating them and not complaining at all. Not sure how this place get good reviews on the food. The restaurant is right by the Westin Resort that we were staying and we came in based on the good reviews, but it was disappointing. Food is borderline average at best. Great service is the only good thing I can say on this restaurant. Our server, she was so friendly, informative and full of energy (the 2 stars is for her). We had the Hot Crab & Cheese Dip and the Corn & Crab Chowder which both were okay. Then downhill from that point on! The Raw Oysters wasn't good, and Mussel Marinara was from frozen mussels not fresh. On the entree, Scampi Pasta was way too saucy, the Pincher's Crab Cake was so thin that look like a breakfast sausage patti. The Broiled Gulf Grouper was really bland, and the Gulf Grouper Sandwich was dry! The four of us left without finishing our food and wouldn't want to try dessert at all. read more

Fun music food and the beautiful harbor view. He suggested fabulous apps, meals and especially their key lime pie dessert that all were out quickly and were so delicious! Most of the sides were good - green beans, mashed potatoes & the fries but there were several other items that I would never ever try here again. 1st- Crabcake arrived yellow, didn't taste like crab or filler. was very confused by this 2nd- crab dip had absolutely NO CRAB IN IT. it was extra cheesy but filled with mainly peppers for flavor 3rd- Grouper fried fish has absolutely no flavor with very salty skin. Just below average. That's the best way to sum it up. The people are nice, service is prompt, but the food is subpar despite high prices. They have a silly policy - they offer 2 for 1 drinks, but don't tell you both drinks come out at the same time. Nothing like drinking down a hot beer on a hot day because they don't let you order them one at a time. The food was below average too. Luke warm, under spiced, and over done. It's nice to sit next to the marina, and maybe if we had been drinking all day and just needed something to eat this would have been fine. But if you're looking for an actual good tasting meal, go elsewhere. read more

Fortunately, we used the wait line service, so didn't have to wait long for our table. The six of us all had good food, and left with our bellies full! I had a crabcake and a skewer of blackened shrimp. Very tasty! The green beans were OK as were the fries. Hubby's shrimp scampi was large, lots of yummy shrimp, accompanied with garlic, toast. Others had grouper or fried shrimp. One in our party had salmon. Everyone thought it was great. For appetizers, we had alligator bites and fresh shrimp. The fresh shrimp were awesome. We had a very good experience here for dinner. The food was good and we had wonderful service by Cheryl. According to our friends who live in the area, this is their favorite location of this restaurant chain. We were a group of 7. We did call ahead as they don't take regular reservations. And surprisingly, even though they were packed, the wait was not long at all. For dinner, We sat on the outside on the deck overlooking all the boats. They had 2 for one drinks of certain beers and wines. One of our group got the "bucket" of a fruity rum drink (a Hurricane?). We had a mix of food -- the kids had burgers -- and everyone liked what they ordered. I got a soft shell crab sandwich. Instead of the two sides, I chose a cup of their crab corn chowder. The soup was thick and creamy -- more corn chowder than crab. And it had a little bit of a kick. The soft shell was small but very tasty on a soft bun with a slice of tomato and a lettuce leaf. My husband got their fried grouper sandwich with bbq baked beans and garlic mashed potatoes (very light on the garlic). The fish was good. Others ordered the bay scallops, the mussels (a huge portion), and a burger with fries. Of these, they liked the mussels the best. For dessert, we shared a piece of their key lime pie. It had a graham cracker crust and whipped cream topping. It was more of a key lime mousse pie -- very light and airy. It was just a touch of sweet for our meal's ending. read more

This is slighly pricey for the portions served, but the service was efficient, communicative, and kind (thanks, Amber!). We spend the month of February in cape coral. We hit Pinchers at least once a week. The 2 for 1 Margurita's or Sangria's are a treat. Never had a bad meal and the service is usually great. Some of their deserts are decadent. read more

It's my second time here... we absolutely love this place. I was looking forward to having the stone crab claws but I just missed the season! I was sad. However I did have the scallops which was delicious, mine was broiled. The crab cheese dip tasted even better this time with the bell peppers in them. They need to make it like this always! Incredibly friendly service, the most cheerful servers I've ever encountered. Even the manager came over to check on us. Nice cape-side view from our seats in the dining room. Cool, nautical theme (of course) and decor reflects all things water/fishing related. Upon entry, seafood shop for take home fare- but if you want the dining experience, robust menu- lots of "fried" items if that's your thing. The fresh oysters were divine. All condiments on the table so not much need to hail the server except to refill your beverage. Rolls of paper towel sub in for napkins- perfect portion sizes, priced accordingly and plenty of parking. The venue boasts patio seating should you wish to dine Al fresco. Located at the end of a retail strip with a walkway that wraps around the docks of the marina. After some boutique shopping, why not replenish your energy and make Pinchers your final destination. read more

Pinchers is great, for a local chain. Serving portions are decent, we almost always have leftovers. The draft beers are always served in pairs (2 for 1), but they're about 6-8 oz mugs.. so if you're an average imbiber, get an order to share, then another... so it doesn't get warm. Their Krab wontons are excellent. We often bring family and friends here because of options, location, and the price. Very pretty harbor views. Take a walk to the naughty Mermaid after dinner for a nightcap and watch the sunset. Service has always been prompt and friendly. Highly recommend. FYI- if you're feeling peckish, take a key lime pie home to go!! They also have a modest fish market as you enter if you want something for the next day. read more
