Filling up again here in South Carolina. Need a quick bathroom break after 4 hours of continuous driving. It's $1.85/gallon here. The bathrooms are sketchy and there are a lot or people here that don't seem to be sporting masks going into the convenience center either. Hmm. Is there no state mandate to wear masks here in SC? This is the best gas station out there! The employees are so friendly and helpful. Devona helped us get to a handicapped bathroom and made the experience so pleasant. We have bookmarked this spot for future trips. It's clean, has everything you need and has the nicest employees! This is an older Pilot with dirty bathrooms. Also bathroom was low on hand soap and paper towels when we stopped. We typically like stopping at Pilot stations when we travel because we can get everything we need in one spot...including walking the dogs and grabbing a bite to eat. But based on how dirty the bathrooms are here, I told hubby that I did not want to get anything from the Subway here. Also this station didn't have a nice grassy area to walk the dogs. This station is fine if you just need gas for your vehicle. Otherwise, I would skip it and wait for the next one. read more

this is an older pilot been around for quite a while still very clean great employees do a great job what the older facility that they have.. showers are very clean bathrooms are kept up and checked quite frequently especially during the day and afternoon shift great job... the subway rotates their stock well. but for such a high traffic area they are landlocked and the parking area is very small and it fills up and jams up and to be a pain to get in and out more than once anymore for trucks. read more

I would like to leave zero stars, but Yelp won't let me. To begin there is no sense of order in maneuvering the parking lot. I felt as though I was back in Bangkok. Second if you are using the restrooms, don't! It appeared to have poo on the toilet and the sink. Third, people were randomly parking everywhere so that when a pump became available you couldn't get to it. And last most major of all when I addressed my concerns with the management I was told "tough shit". I drive from nc to fl often for work and will never return to this location. I hope the corporate office has more respect than the individual store. read more

Two men were sitting outside the store yesterday. They said they were fresh out of rehab and looking to get $30 so they could get a hotel room. My husband gave them a few dollars but had a funny feeling about it. When we got home we discovered our card had been charged for our gas. PLUS an additional $151 that we DID not charge!! Pilot did NOTHING about it!! Why would they let two men sit there and harass people for money. Two men that were obviously stealing credit card info. All I can say is BEWARE two men with cell phones claiming they just got out of rehab and are looking for $30 - they are skimmers!!!!!!!!! read more

A regular stop for us between FL and NC. I cannot count the number of times we've been here; perhaps as many as 20 times in one year alone, so a total of 50 or more times. There is a McDonald's inside and lots of convenience store stuff. It isn't bad but it isn't great. It just is. read more

Right off of I-26 in Clinton. We stopped for the cheap gas but I went inside for a snack and they have lots of chips, candy bars, etc to choose from. There's also a Subway in here and a McDonalds next door. I didn't use the restrooms while I was here but they were advertising that they have showers too. read more

I love this travel center! I actually used to live right down the road from here, so it's a bit nostalgic when I get to visit on my usual trips to Aiken. The place is always poppin' and every time I have gotten food or coffee here, it has been legit. I mean, yes, it is still gas station food but still! There is something to be said for a nice, gas station sandwich and a coffee on a late night road trip. The restrooms are always clean when I visit and the staff is very nice - the last lady I spoke with was even able to tell me every ingredient in my sub (I dislike mayo very much so). I always make a point to wait until this exit if I can for whatever my needs may be so I can stop in here! read more

Yay for cheap gas! BOO for long lines for everything. This must be where everyone comes for their family reunions in this part of the woods.. or their coming to church meetings.. something. Holy cow even the line for the McDonalds was huge.. But the food was good. I'm not sure if ZeGF got sick from her Southern style chicken sandwich or from something else.. I did not get sick and thought the fries were nice and hot - you can tell their going through a ton of them. The bathrooms are ehhh. It's a truck stop people. Don't forget to bring a quarter for the condom machine.. Understand what I'm talking about here.. It's a truck stop.. get over it. Need a break between Columbia and Charleston.. this isn't a bad alternative. It beats the sex shop also at the same exit. read more

Stopped in to get some snacks and coffee on our trip. Store was very accessible to the highway and had plenty of souvenirs and gift items. Coffee was delicious and very hot. Hotdogs were cooked nicely and hit the spot. Cashier was friendly and courteous as I paid for my food while eating the hotdog lol read more

I travel a lot via America's highways, and I must say that I always look for Pilot. This Pilot had clean ladies rooms (don't know about men's), and a good selection of snacks. If want something a little more hearty, there is a McDonald's attached. Get ready for long lines for food, gas, and McDonald's. read more

1996 Rialta gasoline RV. First cross country trek. Stopped to get some coffee and water. Superstar employee Kerry explained the weigh station and RV etiquette. Then she hooked us up with a Pilot reward card and catalogue of all stores and amenities - 7 cups to go until a free-be. Bathroom was spotless. Coffee station well stocked. Busy place. Didn't get gas, but I can see how it may be difficult for a larger RV. read more

I usually hunt out truck stops because the number of available pumps and the insides tend to be well stocked and clean. They did have quite a few pumps but man did they move the fuel slow. I had an 8 gallon fill up and it felt like I was filling a 30 gallon tank. The inside of the place was not clean. That's from the main vending area back to the bathroom. The bathroom was in very bad shape. This place is not what I have come to expect from a pilot station. read more

This is my favorite pit stop on my way north. Yes its a gas station with a MacDonalds. this place seems to be always busy! Stopped for gas on my way to Greenville last weekend and I had to wait 15 minutes for an open pump! All kinds of good coffee, my wife's favorite! Snacks and all your trucking needs. the restrooms could use a little work. Not bad for a major truck stop. If youre looking for a stop on I26 to get gas or a burger you should stop here, but it wont be quick! read more

Really easy on and off I-26 at exit 159 in South Carolina, pretty much the cheapest gas on that stretch too, decently run, totally fine for family bathroom stops, of course it could always be a little cleaner but very decent here, the staff is a bit slow at check out but always nice, well stocked convenience store and ok mcdonalds next door read more

Stopped for a cup off coffee the best 1.79 cup size was told that is member prise OK since I fixed the way I liked it I kept it. Did not like that I was charged 2.02. The reason for this review is to put the Female African employee, once I was checking out with two books and two bags of chips, was asked for my three digit code on the back of my credit card. I was caught off guard and asked when did they start doing that? Her response was I don't know but is needed to buy item if I remember correctly. Of course I declined my purchase and walk out. This at exit 159 the Pilot truck stop / McDonald's in south Carolina headed to Charleston at 5:50pm 9/10/2017. I feel she must of thought she had a stupid one. You never give up the three digit code at any truck stop / McDonald's or any gas station. Very unprofessional. And shame on her! read more

I have stopped here many times in the past. Today was a totally bad experience. Both pumps I tried had screens so faded you couldn't read the instructions. Although it said it took American Express cards apparently it wouldn't take the card itself. The second pump wouldn't take the American Express card either. I used the Visa card at the second pump but it would only pump about one or 2 gallons before it shut off. After 15 minutes I only got 6 gallons of gas to go in the tank. The restrooms were clean and the McDonald's serves decent coffee at decent prices. But I can't pull off the highway and risk wasting all this much time trying to pump gas in the future. read more

The staff was very aloof--they clearly did not want to be there and certainly didn't want to help the customers.... to top all this off--when I made my purchase, they charged me 55 cents for a cup of ice AND I USED MY OWN CUP!!! store is dirty, a lot of truckers use the shower/bathroom area. there is a Mcdonalds at this location, which is why we stopped here. gas and food at same place.it is a little hard to maneuver around parking lot/gas pumps. so many people coming and going,its hard to back out from spaces at building. park to the side. read more

After a single google search for pilot charged me $151, I have found out that my problem is not just related to this store. I stopped here at 11:26 pm on 3/6/15. I pulled to the pump and proceeded to swipe my Capital One Visa. I then pumped 6.203 gallons of 93 octane gas into my car for a total of $16.00. I then pulled into a parking space and went inside. I got 4 20 oz drinks for $5.00 and used the restroom. The restroom was clean and the cashier was pleasant. I proceeded to finish my drive home (to south of Savannah, GA.) Once I got home, I fired up my computer and logged in to Capital One's website to pay my credit card bill. What do I see, but that Pilot has put a hold on my account for $151.00 After google searching it, I found a corporate memo from Pilot/Flying J stating that after February, they rolled out a new pump system that automatically charges all Visa cards $151 and that once the actual transaction posts, the hold will be removed in a couple of hours. However, as many threads have stated, the hold does not disappear and remains for a few days. The missing credit doesn't hurt me, but the extreme amount (compared to the $21 I spent) pisses me off. I can find no record of another fuel company with such a high hold amount. By the way, if you use the truck pumps, the hold amount is $500. I will be getting my future gas anywhere but a Pilot station. read more
