Such a fun attraction! Loved all of it. We got here early to beat the crowds and only waited about 10 minutes tops to get into the first gondola that seats 4 adults. The ride up is breathtakingly beautiful and once at the highest elevation, there are several options to walk up paths and stairs to get even a bit higher. Remember that at nearly 7000 feet above sea level, the air can get thin! Be sure to take your time and rest if necessary. At top there are shops and food and a hotel. The cog wheel wasn't open yet but one day I shall return to ride it too! On the way down we stopped at the ropes course and tobbagon ride. Tobaggan ride was great but be careful who is in front of you if you want to go fast. On my first run the woman in front of me was completely stopped inside a tunnel and needed encouragement to get her butt in gear. (It's a serious safety issue if they do that!!) But I felt the need for speed and went a 2nd time with much better results. Be sure to plan to spend a day in Lucerne and perhaps take a cruise on a tour boat around the lake and soak in the sites including the mountain peak you were just on! read more
