A Gulf Shores staple. Pier 33 has been serving this beach community for nearly 50 years. It's a quick walk from the beach and offers a plethora of grocery items, souvenirs, and bait/tackle. There's stuff everywhere! We were enjoying our final day on vacation and needed a final round of adult beverages. We popped in, found what we wanted-- in and out, no problem. Parking is a non issue, staff wasn't super friendly, and pricing was a bit steep but with very few walkable options-- it was as expected. Grab a bite or a drink at Pier 33! Open daily. read more

Convent store on steroids!!! You can get milk to Wisconsin cheese to fireball and Dubai chocolate all at once! One of the spots to open late and offers everything you need last minute. You can get late night munchies snacks like pizza as well. It was literally in and out. Different beers and wines inside as well. So it's like a one stop shop! read more

Customer service was amazing and they even had all I needed in the store for my friends vacation needs.

We stayed right across the street so this being a grocery store / coffee shop was very convenient. However the service was terrible, they were rude, slow and forgot our order both times we went to the coffee shop. The grocery store cashier wasn't any better. The prices were about average for the area. The drinks being good is the only reason they got any stars at all. read more

Convenience at its best, within walking distance from many condos and apt complexes as well as Bahama Bob's and other restaurants. Service is nice, decent selection of local and popular goods, and there's a coffee joint upstairs! Great place for the basics we always forget. read more

I recently wrote a review for a place just like this from the same trip to the beach. This type of store located close to the beach follow the same mode of operation. So I will steal from my last review to describe what I think about that: I think the Yelp rating system says it best... it is just A-OK. As a person who has been coming to the beach his entire life, I have experienced plenty of places just like this. With property values so high on the beach, the grocery stores are typically much further out. So when you forget something for you beach weekend stay, these places exist for sheer convenience. Everything is extremely overpriced and the selection is usually pretty limited. But in all fairness, they have to stock such a WIDE variety of options, it is hard to get anything too extensive. As for Pier 33, they had a more extensive selection than some other place. I even saw some local honey in here. But the fact stands... there is not a vast selection and you are paying for the convenience. Would I shop at Pier 33 again? Yes if needed. Would I shop here if it were back in Birmingham? Probably not. It served its purpose and always will. I don't love having to use this type of place. But I will continue to do as necessary. read more

This place is so over priced! Of course it's very convenient but with that comes the inflation in price to stick it to you! Also the prices inside are not the actual prices once they check you out. They like to make up their own prices. They will add two surcharges for their convenience. Save your money and go to Publix or Walmart. read more

This is a nice little local run tourist store. It's a little pricey but it is right across the street from the beach. You know the saying, "Location. Location. Location." They have pretty much anything you could possible want including friendly employees. read more

Very convenient. Had everything we were looking for with no crowds and no lines. We got groceries, kid got a minnow net, and we got some sunblock and jellyfish sting medicine. What else could a person need? Prices were a bit high for the convenience, I'm ok with that but it is the only reason I didn't give 5 stars. Every single employee is so rude. I've gone there 3 times since I've been on my vacation. I've tipped generously when I get coffee upstairs (not that that matters). Every "good morning" I've said has come with a disgruntled sound in return. I'm on vacation with multiple children and it is already stressful enough. I won't bother wasting my time and money on this place. read more

Great store that seemingly has everything. Souvenir store meets, general store, meets beer cooler, meets mini mart. Friendly folks and easy to get to from West Beach Blvd. Prices are a little higher but you pay for convenience. Much nicer than losing half a day from your life down the parkway back to larger stores. read more

It is in a convenient location, as it is right across the street from the public beach. Great for last minute needs or an afternoon at the beach! read more

We loved this little shop while we were visiting Gulfshores last week. Very convenient and had everything you could need. Our son fell and skinned his knee pretty bad and they had all necessities needed to patch him up and get him back to playing. It is not a go and buy all the groceries but if you need a few items it is worth going in. read more

So tbh let's be fully real, no one does food correctly on vacation. Like never, it's either you buy like 50 packs of ramen or 1 pack of turkey and bread. There's no middle. But some of us want to be able to make our mistakes at any time of the day and in walking distance from the hotel and beach. For those very distinguished folk, Pier 33 kills it. Sure, there are markups, but the convenience deserves it. And the workers are as polite as pie, or some other polite thing. It's a great time there, but avoid the shot glasses. $5 for a shot glass? Hell no, that's the only reason there's a star off. But beyond that, try to find a better beachside base for the foods and the booze. I dare you. Good luck. read more

I went in to get a few things like bread lunch meat milk chips ect. After seeing the prices I walked out and went to a real grocery store. The prices here a literary double the normal price. $6 for a gallon of milk. $4 for bread. read more
