WORST LIBRARY TO VISIT. I come to this library a lot due to how close it is to home, but I am…read morealways annoyed at the library's behavior. Every time I have visited, kids are always loud. Yes, kids are usually loud, but this is INSANELY loud. Not only that, there are kids running around the library playing a game of tag! It distracts people who are actually doing work! In both situations, the librarians do little to nothing about the kids yelling and running around. At the entrance, there is a posted sign saying "NO Cell Phone Use In Library." Yet, ADULTS are on there phones talking like they would at home! There are sometimes tutors that come to the library to do their tutoring, but they do it in an insane way. There are ALWAYS 3 STUDY ROOMS OPEN, yet not one time have they used a study room! If you are ever in the vicinity and need to go to a library, use a different library unless you don't mind anything.

This is a lovely library that just oozes Southern charm. A sunny day makes you want to get a book…read moreand sit on the wraparound porch on a rocking chair, but any other type of weather makes for an equally enjoyable visit when you go indoors and have an opportunity to browse their well-stocked and well-organized book selection, as well as talk to the super friendly and helpful staff. I adore taking my youngsters there for story and music time every week b/c the librarians are so attentive, cheerful and engaging w/ all ages. (That goes for myself as an adult too, as I've gone in there on a number of occasions w/ a zillion "I need reading recommendations!!" questions.) I love that within a stone's throw of the library is a tiny bakery where you can pick up a cupcake or a sandwich, and I hope that they increase their hours of operations b/c they are closed pretty frequently. Book + pastry + coffee = YAY. In this age of e-readers (and yes, I am an avid reader on my Kindle and take full advantage of the library's online lending program!), having an actual library to walk into and other readers to talk to face-to-face may seem antiquated, but it really is a terrific thing for a town to have a sense of community and shared delight over reading.

We were applying for our passports at this location thinking they wouldn't be busy, and it seems so was everyone else. With only one lady up front that knew how to process them, she was patient with each and everyone making sure everything was in order. Library is clean and welcoming. My boys enjoyed being there and had problem waiting with us. It took over an hour but we read, colored, and busy ourselves with their little activities. They also had books and dvds for sell which I need to go back to browse. Price ranged from 50 sents to two dollars.

And the Gwinnett library system is really good, I have lived so Many places and belonged to many libraries, but this one is excellent! Esp. The Hamilton mill location, it's lovely! They have mostly kids books usually but you can find adult reading also. ***Please remember to always close the door so the books don't get wet if it rains. Nobody wants a moldy book!*** This is also a great place to leave those books you have already read and no longer want to keep. Magazines are welcome also. There is also a decent kids playground in the middle of the shopping center with park benches and a stage area. It's to the left of the Little Library (if you are in front facing it).
