My daughter's appointment was for 5pm and I came back from work really late and before we prepped an all, we got there at 5:14pm. I though we were either going to be turned back or whoever we met was going to have a bad attitude. I purchased a groupon here and called to make an appointment. My appointment was at 5 pm for my sons 3 month pictures. When I made the appointment they even asked who would be in the pictures, so they knew it was a baby. I planned Henry's whole day and nursing schedule and nap schedule around the appointment so that he would be his very best self at the time of the pictures. We got to the location 10 minutes before our appointment time to check in. We were told there was one family ahead of us. There were three staff members present, so I didn't think that meant we would be that behind schedule. Then we were not seen for our pictures until 5:45. A whole 45 minutes after her appointment time. So by the time we started pictures Henry was getting tired, hungry, and fussy. He's only 3 months old... Can you blame him? I gave it 2 stars because our photographer (who was the only one taking pictures, turns out the other 2 staff members there were not taking pictures) was really great. read more

I can only speak to our experience with the photographer we happened to get. This was our first time at this location (we had great luck at the Oak Brook Picture People). Our photographer was less than impressive! If you're annoyed by kids or you can't even hide your annoyance, then this is not the place you should be working. We have a 2 1/2 year old and a 6 month old and we were taking family photos. Now you're not always going to get both kids looking at the exact same moment and pose perfectly for you to take your perfect shot. He was waiting and waiting and damn near rolling his eyes b/c my oldest looked out the window a few times or b/c my 6 month old wasn't looking at the camera. All he did was snap his finger to try and get their attention. They've got props and toys, which he didn't utilize. He asked with an attitude, 10 minutes in, if WE had a toy to get the baby's attention. Keep in mind, both kids were in decent moods, no crying. We did have toys, but shouldn't you have an arsenal of toys for a place that takes pics of children! And he took like 10 or 12 shots! YOU HAVE A DIGITAL DUDE, snap more pics and maybe you'll catch some unexpected cute ones!!!!!! You don't have to try and save film waiting for a 6 month old and a 2 1/2 year old to obey your command of "look at the camera, come on guys!" Surprise surprise when we went to look at the pictures, they were all bad! My husband had the same not so great expression on his face of trying to hold a cheesy smile while WAITING for the little ones to be perfect! It is a lot of work to get ourselves together and get 2 small kids together, looking picture ready, happy, clothes not puked on or pooped on only to get there and have our time wasted by a photographer with little patience for CHILDREN! All I can say is I highly do NOT recommend them, especially while doing portraits of or with your dog - even though they do offer this service and assure that they welcome it. While the staff I had encountered was nice enough, they are NOT good with animals and have NO understanding of dogs. As a dog owner, I take great pride in being fully responsible for my dog and taking all precautions necessary to keep my dog, myself, and the people around us safe. However - if I am BLATANTLY LIED TO and conditions are out of my control, it is incredibly heart breaking to have to go through a bad experience when it could have simply been avoided if the people involved were just HONEST. It seems if a company is going to offer the service of pet photography, they should have the foresight to properly train each and every one of their employees in regards to proper handling in that situation. Do yourself a favor and find a professional in regards to photos of or involving your pet. I wish I had done the same. read more

Let begin by saying, this was not my choice of studio, however my husband booked it here instead of Portrait Innovations were we normally go. Since we were ready to take pictures it made no since not to proceed. Everything would've been on if it wasn't for the fact that they appeared to be overbooked, and everything wasn't working, including the restroom. Anyway, the shoot was not good. The photographer was rushing us through and after only 21mins, the shoot was over. We did only 1 drop and that was it. Since when do you only get another one back drop? The pictures that she took were not good, I'm not going to pay for some unpleasant pictures. I have never had an experience like this and will not be back here again. read more

Not sure if I went to the same place as all the other reviewers.... because I had a relatively good experience at Picture People. My family needed some quick pics, so I bought the groupon for picture people and I dont regret it! I called to schedule an reschedule the appointment a few times. Everyone was patient, nice, flexible, and helpful! Although, when we got there the girl couldn't find the appointment, but we didn't have to wait very long or anything. We arrived and things seemed to be moving a little slow, but we just used that time to get ready. I did not think the wait was that big of a deal. The people we worked with were professional and nice. One guy helped us with how to pose, and one woman took the photos. My only complaint is, some of the poses were a little cheesy/kid-ish. But when I offered suggestions for poses, they worked with us. It took a little while for them to upload our photos to the computer for us to view (probably 30 minutes). But most of my family just took a stroll around the mall, while i waited. I honestly didn't love the groupon deal-you get 8 sheets of the same pose. Who needs 8 sheets of the same pose? But it was only 16 dollars so I guess it wasnt that big of a deal. We ended up purchasing the CD for half off the original CD price. Overall, I enjoyed our experience here and our photos turned out nicely. read more

Went here via Groupon. I went in the middle of the week in the middle of the day for my son's 3 month fall-themed photos. It was completely empty and we got things done fairly quickly. However, I was disappointed by the photos. They just weren't that great! The photographer was nice and finished quickly. What I didn't like was the pushy sales part of it. I actually had to "haggle" in a way and I still feel like I got taken for a ride. Since then, I decided to do holiday photos at JC Penney, also with a Groupon, and the experience was SO much better! We went to the Orland Park Picture People in December 2010. If there was a negative score, I would give it. I should have known when this was the only Picture People with appointments available one week in advance, all the others were booked. We arrived to our appointment time to chaos. Had to have been 75 people just standing in the store. No greeter, you had to belly up to the counter to let them know you needed to check in, and that bc of the chaos, you were then late for your apppt. It was our 3 month photos, and our daughter had bouts of smiles amongst some tears. EXACTLY like the other reviewer, the photographer did not have her camera on the ready. rather it sat on the ground while we tried to make her smile (which was fine), but since her camera was not ready, she missed MANY shots. 30 minutes of this, and she might have have taken 8 shots. she walked us out and we asked about the next steps. She sait wait for our name to be called for a viewing. At this time, one of those 75 people in the store was yelling at someone else that 'they had been waiting over an hour to view their photos'. Are you kidding me? they are digital, you should be able to see them live during the photoshoot. Our photographer went and checked, she said her manager would not let her give us a time as to how long it would take. So I asked for a range, an hour? 5 minutes? she couldn't. but offered to write down our name and number and they would call us when they were ready. I asked another worker about viewing online and buying, she didnt know, checked with someone else, andf they said they wouldnt rec it, bc it is a lot more expensive and you have to pay for shipping. . . but she also did not know how to do it. Long and short of it, we are still waiting for our call that our viewing is ready (20 hrs so far). Will never go back. read more

Just went for newborn photos and I was very disappointed first I feel that they were rushing us (we spent $200 there) we should not feel rushed! I also feel that for people who do this everyday they should have ideas for their customers. The girl must have been new because she had a helper the whole time and neither one of them could recommend any poses. We have twins, they are our first babies so we had no clue what poses we could do. My biggest complaint is the feeling rushed because when I did want to try something they seemed like all wanted was us out of there. Oh and their lobby was disgusting! **** UPDATE**** It has now been 2 weeks from the time that I spoke to the "manager", whom was supposed to be sending me a complimentary disc of images via fed ex. Called on 5 days ago to speak with her, and was told she'd call me back. No follow-up. Called today, and was told that the disc was back in their outbox, "because it was returned back to them from FedEx, maybe because the writing was hard to read (WHAT?!?!?!)" Or, perhaps, because it was never sent.... She called me rude for getting upset with her. Why would I not be upset with this sort of follow-up, and overall experience? She also gave me the incorrect number to their regional manager, and was very snotty while doing so. I am baffled that this place is still in business, however it is to no surprise that it runs so unprofessionally when you employ such unmotivated workers. ****Original post**** Terrible! I suppose you get what you pay for. Purchased a Groupon in order to take my daughters for a nice picture. Left with mediocre pictures, with neither of them really smiling, and my 9 mo. old injured after FALLING out of the sled prop that I was instructed to put her in. Please do not put any of your young children into anything that makes you feel uncomfortable. I should have spoken up, when I did not feel right about the prop use. Unfortunately, I mistakenly, put my trust in the "professional". After 1 week, I am still awaiting a call from their district manager regarding this. I won't hold my breath. I would never get "professional" pictures done here again. She could not set up appropriate posing for a family group photo. The spacing was a mess and all the backgrounds were a mess. Our photographer was not only rude but very unknowledgeable. I would suggest finding people who know what they are doing if you are going to spend hundreds of dollars!!! read more

i went to get my sons 4 month pictures taken in march 2012, we were helped by Amy. I love her! she was very professional, had a lot of ideas for the pictures and was great with him. there was not a single bad shot! i will definitely be back and will be booking my appointment with Amy! read more

If I could give negative Stars I would we've had decent pictures taken in the past that's why we've continued to go back however after our experience today I will never step foot in this place again my son had a mark on his face and they told us when we were sitting down selecting our pictures that they could take care of it for $5 we had to go grab something to eat so we said we would come back and pick up our pictures later as they were extremely busy I quickly look at the pictures when I come back everything looks good I took the pictures to the car my wife looks at them and is appalled because this huge mark on his face is still there when they promised all the pictures would be touch up then I'm told when I bring everything back in that it was a misunderstanding and because I work in customer service I should understand that however this information is misinformation and you are supposed to honor what you tell the customer I deal with this myself on a daily basis I am then told that for the pictures we picked it was going to be over $30 to touch up that mark on his face I immediately pulled out my credit card and said then refund my money and you can keep your pictures then the manager comes over with the girl that sold us the package someone totally different than took the pictures and says oh you misunderstood me know $5 to touch up the pictures is what you said and is not as many words calls me a liar to my face so now I have to drive 45 minutes back tomorrow to get these pictures because now as a one-time courtesy they're going to credit those touch up fees I am appalled I have wasted $100 in my opinion we've always had good pictures but after this experience I will never step foot in a picture people place ever again read more

We were nervous going in because we read all of these bad reviews but our experience was great overall. We made an appointment to use our Groupon, noon on a Saturday. It was fairly crowded when we arrived but the staff was pleasant. We were taken to our studio 15 minutes late which we understood because there were so many kids. We had 8 adults and 3 kids in our group. Our photographer was Jessica and she was patient, professional and great with the kids. We got all of the poses we wanted and a few extras. She changed background for us during the session. She was helpful with poses but she also honored our requests for other poses. Overall the photography session went smoothly and we were satisfied. We waited 10 minutes to view our photos. Amanda helped us and she was professional and courteous. She explained all of the packages and how the process worked. She gave us time to view our photos by ourselves and came back shortly afterwards to discuss what we wanted to buy. She wasn't pushy and didn't try to sell us more expensive packages. We waited 5 or 10 more minutes and our disc, photos and frame were ready to take home. Overall it was a very smooth and pleasant experience. read more

On 5/18/17 @ 5:35PM I arrived to the Orland Park Picture People location and I left at 9:50PM. My appointment was scheduled for 6:00PM to have pictures of my 3 year old and 2 year wearing their baptism outfits. After getting my children dressed we were ready for their photo shoot. I made it clear to the young man that the most important photo was of both my children as I was buying that photo in bulk which I did. Throughout the first 1/2 hour or less of my photo shoot the manager Diana was in and out of the room trying to give some guidance to the young man on how to take pictures, telling him when to take the photos and eventually left the room all together to check in the following appointment at 6:30. The young man didn't seem to know how or when to take pictures without direction from Diana or even myself. Diana walked over and suggested that maybe I should walk around for a couple minutes and give my kids a break. At the time I thought she made the suggestion to be helpful but I realized later that she was just trying to move on to the next appointment. Upon returning from a 3 minute break that she recommended I realized that my photo shoot had been postponed entirely while the next woman had pictures taken with Diana the manager wearing her graduation cap and gown. I became frustrated when I realized the women was getting the manager's full attention and was even allowed a 10 minute break so the woman could take her toddler to the bathroom. By this point we had been there for well over an hour now and only had a couple photos taken of them together. Both of my children were very hungry and couldn't eat anything because they were wearing white outfits. My daughter who had to use the bathroom while waiting needed to be rushed over to Sears on the far end to avoid her having an accident. My father had to take my son and walk around the mall to keep him busy as we waited. The manager proceeded to finish fully assisting the woman with her photo shoot followed by a long process of them sitting down together picking out pictures as as I continued to patiently wait with my mother and daughter for our photo shoot to continue. By this point three other customers had already walked in waiting for their photo shoot to start which none of them started on time. The original man proceeded to finish with my photo shoot with my very cranky and hungry toddlers. If it were not for my mother and father being there and working very hard to make my children laugh I would have bought less photos. While waiting to review my pictures I asked the man if he could at least talk to me about the packages so that I could speed up the process but he did not have enough knowledge to even go over that with me. Just a side note this young man had only been working with you for two weeks and recently graduated high school yet he was the "professional photographer" taking the pictures of my children. Disappointing. I asked if I could at least pick out the pictures ahead of time but he said only a manager has access to the computers to even show me my options. I am a manager in retail and this was by far the worst experience I ever had. My entire day off was revolved around this photo shoot and I can assure you I would not be recommending Picture People to any friends or family. Prior to my photo shoot I took my daughter to the hair salon and spent $40 to have her hair fixed, $320 to have her dress custom-made and $100 on my sons outfit. I expected a much better experience and much better customer service from your staff. I could've chose any other place to go but I chose Picture People because of the convenience of getting photos The same day. I would love for you to take a look at the quality of pictures and the quantity of pictures I had to choose from and see for yourself The poor quality of service I received. This is now the first opportunity I have to write about my experience and I thought that it was necessary because it has truly been a disappointment and frustration. I have since passed out the pictures to my family members and unfortunately I had nothing good to say about the experience or the quality of pictures that I received from you. I hope that you offer better training to your employees in the future, schedule appointments one hour apart and deliver a better experience for your future customers as a result of this. The photographer was great, very professional. When it came to picking out the pictures, the girl pulled them up on the computer, gave me a pen to write my favorites down, and walked away for 15 minutes to wait on another family. I believe I paid as much as everyone else, but no work was done. Went in again to get a picture changed from portrait to landscape, had to go back several times due to there being only ONE EMPLOYEE. Not only is that poor customer service, but entirely unsafe for that employee. Plus it was $20 to reprint one sheet of 5x7s. Yikes!!! Never again. read more

I had a bad experience at this Orland Park location. My wife and I had a family budget of $100 to spend on picutes for our child. Kevin (photographIer) was great. I was reviewing packages with another employee and told her of my family budget. She said she could sell me the CD for $100 if I purchased a package with it, which would have been another $18 according to her. I asked her if they could sell the CD for $100 without the $18 package and she said "yes, we can do that". She then couldnt enter it into the computer and got a mgr. The mgr stated that the price is $150 and she can't override the register and it would only be $100 if I purchased a package of $75 or greater. I left frustrated, but decided to just get the $18 set of 6 sheets for 1 pose, which is a pretty good deal. Over the course of the next few days, I went back 3 times to try to retrieve my pics and they were not ready. I asked to speak with a mgr to no avail. The girl took my number and stated she would have a mgr call me the following day... I have yet to recieve a phone call from a manager. I feel that this is a very poorly managed location. I was willing to pay $100 for a disc that they had already burned and ended up paying on $18 for some pics.... the way I see it, they lost $82 and a future customer.... I will be going back to JC Pennys or Sears for my next shoot. read more

I wish I could rate this experience a ZERO, as I will NEVER, EVER, go back again. We waited 30 minutes beyond our appointment time. Even though we were told there was a place to change, all they had was one bathroom in the entire place. Not exactly the place I wanted my daughter to be putting on her all-white communion dress. Photographer was terrible, rushing us along even though we had waited patiently for our turn. Pictures were off-center and leaning. Professional??? Not likely. We were then told we could preview our pictures in 5 minutes. 35 minutes later I was asking about it and was told I would just have to wait until I was called. After noticing other people whose sessions finished AFTER mine were getting their photos, I inquired again and was told they didn't know how long it would be. I said forget it and walked out. Oh, surprise, surprise, they suddenly come after me saying it's now my turn. After 30 minutes of selecting poses and assembling a package that was supposed to cost $165, they take 15 minutes to ring up my order and say it's going to be $245. When I wouldn't agree to that, the girl ringing me up stormed off. Another girl rang up the CD I agreed to purchase for a RIDICULOUS fee of $165, only because I had already put so much time into this experience. So now I have a CD with 14 amateurish photos and am hoping I can take it to Walgreens and get some actual prints. Next time it's Sears or JC Penney for me! Disliked: read more

Let's add to the already horrible reviews! I called to set up an appointment with my daughter and our dog. They were happy to make the appointment but said that they could not do appointments with pets until after they closed at 9:00 p.m. The dog appointment would have to be after close at 9:00. I inquired if the employees would be in a hurry to get out because it is after close and was assured that they have people who are scheduled to handle these "after hours" appointments. She said that I needed to be in the mall entrance at ten until 9 because they lock the mall entrance doors. We were running late but knew that we could get to the mall before it closed. We called at 8:45 and no one answered. We left a message to let them know that we would be there before 9. We got there at Picture People entrance at 8:58 and the employee ERICA, with a nasty little snide condescending attitude said through her jail like door that was already locked up that we were "supposed to be there at 8:45 not 8:58 and they were closed already". She acknowledged it was 8:58 but said that we had to be there at 8:45 even though our appointment was for 9:00. She was rude, unprofessional, unapologetic and condescending. Thank you Picture People for having such a crappy employee and business ethic that saved me the money I would have wasted doing something that I can do just as well on my own. If I am going to pay money for professional photographs, I will make sure I pay for professional photographs with professional photographers and will never again consider spending a penny with this sorry excuse for a photography studio. Your ratings speak volumes. Also, for the record, in the past their backgrounds have been filthy dirty with stains that had to be photoshopped out. I want to start by writing that I am not the type of person who is a complainer. With that written, this place was horrible. Waited 20 minutes past our appointment (with a 1 year old, this is not ideal), had the world's most impatient photographer, and photos taken were....ok. They spent a total of 20 minutes taking pictures for my 1 year old. I just don't think they gave us enough time, and my daughter was not misbehaving, she just wanted to explore. Photographer was not very patient with the fact that she "would not just sit there." For some reason, the photographer was not using shutter mode on her camera, so she missed some great shots:( But the worst part is the fact that the "salesperson" was about to over charge me by 50%. She kept telling me that "Retail Me Not Coupons" would not work there. I told her to give one a try...and guess what? It worked- but only after I practically forced her to try it and showed her that it was the EXACT coupon on the company website. I think this place would work for very young infants or older children/adults. But, I would not go here if you have a toddler. We will not return there because I just did not like our experience. read more

Terrible service my photos of my twins girls first Easter are horrible! Waste of time and money!! They were not accommodating. We only got 2 of the 3 outfit changes because we had to wait so long. The pictures looked worse then if I took them off my cell phone! Because we had to wait my girls were unhappy in all of the photos. The props were ripped and dirty or missing. We have gone to picture people every couple years for group family pictures. This year was our first year back in 5 years. We made the appointment the end of Nov 2016 for Xmas Eve. Our family is spread out in Indiana and Illinois so it's difficult to get us all together. Xmas eve was the perfect day since we were all going to be together anyways. When we arrived at our appointment and checked in, they said they would call us when they were ready. An hour later, we asked how much longer they though it would be. The girl looked to see where we were in line and said it would at least be another 1 1/2 hours before we go! They couldn't tell us that we would have over a 2 1/2 hour wait when we checked in. When I told them we were no longer going to be waiting they blamed us for making the appointment last minute, which we clearly did not. Maybe they should not over book their sessions! So unprofessional!!! We tried to contact cooperate, but it was extremely difficult to try and contact someone. Today we went back to take pictures. This was the first day we could all get together again, since Xmas eve to do this! The photographer was great. When we told her what frame we wanted they had no more available and stated they may never get them back. These frames are all over the store. You would think that if they did not have these frames anymore, they would take down their product. This is the last time we are dealing with picture people! read more

Friendly business and my niece's graduation pictures turned out fabulous. Jennifer was our photographer and she was very accommodating and friendly. We arrived a few minutes before the shoot and the appointment time was on schedule. Three backdrops were used along with other personal memorabilia. My niece posed first in the dress she wore to graduation and later in her cap and gown. Jennifer was very patient as we adjusted her hair, tassel and other items throughout the shoot. My sister in law, niece and I were very pleased with how the photographs turned out, not one bad picture and all the shots were crystal clear. We purchased the master disc, and had some printouts made. I used a coupon that was available online for some of the print outs. It was a great experience overall and I would not hesitate to recommend Picture People. Thank you Jennifer for creating such wonderful memories for my niece and our family. read more

I just had photos of my daughter taken this weekend by Sarah at the Picture People in Orland Park. I have no idea the reason for some of the negative reviews that I have read on YELP. I can only guess that some of these customers may have been having a bad day - and would complain about anything!!!! My teenage daughter had her picture taken by Sarah. Sarah did an amazing job - the photos look fabulous. The pictures that I needed were for a professional portfolio. Sarah was very patient and helpful regarding wardrobe changes, she made my daughter feel at ease and she took some wonderful pictures. The photos came out better than I expected - I really was impressed with the pictures. Sarah was really able to capture my daughter's personality in the pictures and she looks great in the photos!!! Molly the manager was also very helpful, knowledgeable, and courteous. She did a fantastic job at adding some text to my photos and took the extra time to make sure that it looked good. I would like to add that they can be a bit busy on the weekends but Sarah never rushed us through our photo shoot. Worst experience ever!!! Had an appointment at 9 didn't take me in till 10 for our session after snapping few pictures the photographer said it would be 20 minutes at 1045 I finally asked, how long will it take for me to view my picture she said 8 people in front of us! Came back next day hour and half and wasn't able to use my groupon. Tyrone the manager is doesn't have any costumer service training at all. Waited 20 minutes for him never came to talk to me, instead say in back and chatted with one of his co workers! ZERO stars!!!!!!! We had an appointment for 23 people at 4:40 PM. Short of it is at 6:05 we still hadn't been in for sitting and we're no closer to getting into sitting than when we arrived. Talked with the manager and she couldn't have been less useful. She told us that she didn't know that things were so backed up or that people have been waiting for an hour and a half. Yesterday my family of 5 had a appointment for 7:30, I spoke with Diana via phone to schedule she said our session would be about 30 mins with 18 photos with different poses and backrounds. We arrived about 6:45 and was told it would be about a 30min wait because they had two walk ins before us which was fine because we was early. Finally about 7:45 Luke said he was ready for us, told us to go over to the white backround and just started snapping photos never positioned us never asked if we wanted to try a different backround. After I asked if we was going to take different poses he told me we could poses however we wanted. I told him I was not experience in positioning for professional pictures and I was told on the phone they would be doing that, he told me he was new and didn't know how to pose people yet. I requested he get help and Diana ( the lady i spoke with on the phone) came out the back to help out a little because she was busy with another family! Now I'm getting annoyed and the kids are becoming impatient. Diana was very helpful as she had him get stools for us to take a couple shots and positioned us on the floor for a shot she even recommended backrounds that would look nice with our outfits. With that being said the pictures came out horrible most of the shots my boys eyes was closed frame was off I could have did better at home with my cell phone out of 18 shots we automatically deleted 11 that was the worst Diana said he should have taken 2 of the same shot so we could pick the best on but since he didn't I have no picture of me and the kids alone because the single shot my son was looking off. Diana offered to redue our session herself because I was very unhappy but there was 2 families waiting to be seen that had appointments and now its 9pm. Everybody was frustrated and unhappy so my husband said he wasn't in the mood anymore and was not waiting for a redue so we picked 5 poses, the prints she gave us look cheap and very low quality for $175 my printer at home could have done better. Very disappointing we was trying to take professional family photos before my son goes off to college but know we just have expensive pictures taken by what was suppose to be a professional. The only reason they get 2 stars is because he was new and everybody has to learn but maybe they should have had another person to train him as Luke and Diana (who was doing her best to multi task)was the only two employees working and it was about 5 families there. read more

I've had many photos taken for my kids and my dog with this Picture People location and we've always had a good experience. All the photos have turned out great and everyone has been very patient in working with children (who might not always be in the best mood to pose!) I always end up making sure that I get the CD and it usually runs around $150, which is what I've paid at Sears and JCP as well. Prices are better when you get a coupon or now the Groupons that they are offering. I love getting my portrait Chistmas cards from here because they print them the same day and I don't have to wait! Oh, and I love that they print then and there because I don't have to wait a month for my photos. Only once have I been there and the printer was down BUT I appreciated that they phoned me ahead of my appointment in case I wished to reschedule. I live close so I went and picked them up the next day. For the comments on being super crowded, I've been there on those days and waited but what else can you expect? Word of advice, if you don't want to deal with the crowds here, go on a weekday or weeknight. Holidays always seem to be more crowded. Amy didn't take my kids photos, but we met her and she was super sweet in entertaining my kids! Jackie took great photos of my kids and was super patient with our explorative toddler who was sort of crabby and wanted to run away the entire shoot! I do like their work and do recommend them to my friends. We always get nice compliments on our photos from there! read more

If I could give this place no stars, I would. First off, the layout of this studio is very odd. You walk in and there is a place right off to the side where they shoot a few photos. Meanwhile, while they take your pictures, people are walking in and out which is very distracting to small children. It is not easy trying to get them to sit still and focus, not to mention passersby walking the mall looking through the windows. Not a fan of the layout. Secondly, it's the holiday season and many people are wanting photos done, which I get. However, when you make an appointment, it ensures that you will be seen before walk ins. They had two people on staff, seemed incredibly disorganized and overbooked, and not very friendly. While we were waiting for our pictures, we decided to walk the mall, see Santa, etc. When we came back, there was a long wait to choose our photos. The woman assisting me asked if she could go take care of a person who did not have an appointment. I am not saying it is her fault, but why assist a walk in, when I had an appointment and you were helping me first? I guess they don't want to lose business, but I was paying quite a bit for these photos, and she seemed more concerned with the people who had no appointment. Lastly, the restrooms were not working, drinking fountain out of order and it was not a very inviting place. Will I go back, I think not. I was not happy with this business at all, and I feel like they should have been more prepared for this time of year, when they knew that they would be getting lots of photo shoots. read more

The staff is immature, inexperienced, unorganized, rude. People who have completed photography classes at college or highschool should work here, the people working here at picture people at Orland Square Mall in Orland Park Illinois have little knowledge of photography and the photographers are horrible with children. The photographers take horrible pictures. PICTURE PEOPLE NEED TO HIRE PEOPLE WITH A COLLEGE EDUCATION IN PHOTOGRAPHY. the people who work here are not educated in photography. The people who work here are not photographers. Many more shots need to be taken than about ten our twenty, at least 50 for adults and at least 100 of children and picture people need to hire people that are experienced and knowledge of taking pictures of children is needed. The staff here does not know how to take pictures of children. It is all young people who work here , you need to hire older mature people. your manager sue sounds like she is a child and several of the staff hang up the phone on people. HIRE BETTER PEOPLE OR U WILL GO OUT OF BUSINESS. read more
