I Wish I would have done a review on Allen Leigh Estates a long time ago as it has been 3 years…read moresince I rented from them. I could have saved a lot of headache for others as I have found out from a number of other people that have dealt with them that they are NOT so pleasant to deal with. Here it is. Allan Leigh Estates- By far the worst people to rent from EVER! These people are FRAUDS! The woman actually lost her real estate license because she was fraudulently altering documents! But lets start from the beginning. I looked at a house in Austin for rent, and I told them I'd be interested in the place as long as the carpet could get removed as it was saturated in urine. They agreed they can remove the carpet and either put new carpet in or if the hardwood floor was in good shape they would redo the hardwood floor. After the carpet had been removed they invited me back to take a look. I WAS BLOWN AWAY! It looked like they gave a 2 yr old child a paint brush and a can of polyurethane. It literally looked like they spilled the can of poly and just left it to dry! It was TERRIBLE and I mentioned it to the " owner " of Allen Leigh and he FLIPPED OUT ON ME and said they were going to keep my deposit reguardless if I decided to stay in the place or not! So after being scared I'd loose my 800 dollar deposit, I rented from Allan Leigh. I was there for a total of a yr and a couple months, and was never late on payments. When I gave them the notice I was leaving all was well. Until a month or so passed and they tried charging me for another months rent. I called them over and over and no answer. Left text messages and nothing back! I was ready to go to court. But they just dropped it. Don't take anything from these SLUMLORDS. Also I was in the middle of buying a house and the Loan company had to verify from them that I have been paying rent for at least a yr and have no late payments. Allan Leigh wouldn't even cooperate. BOGUS company! They should be ashamed of themselves! VERY VERY BAD EXPERIENCE WITH THIS COMPANY. BAD PEOPLE WITH BAD MORALS
