A very friendly Methodist Church in the middle of Pickering. We've visited the place a number of times when we've been on holiday and have always been made to feel very welcome. The building itself is quite traditional, with pews downstairs and a gallery upstairs affording extra seating capacity; and there's a well-used Church Hall (with a kitchen, toilets etc) immediately to the rear. They seem to have quite a lot of mid-week activities taking place, even in the holidays (when we go). The services we attended were fairly traditional Methodist services with a mixture of hymns and more modern songs. All in all, we would recommend the place -- it is certainly worth a visit on a Sunday morning. read more
