Apparently, the location moved round about 2015 and I hadn't seen the new place since then. It's impressive. This warehouse is easily 3 times larger than the old shop and has the absolute best deals one can find on fabrics, notions, sewing supplies -- anything one needs to sew garments and mend things made with fabric. This is the only place you'll ever need to visit to buy things for your sewing needs. I am blessed and appreciative to know that this place is still open for business. It doesn't look like it will close any time soon and the place is still as funky, inviting and helpful as I remember the shop on 9th St. I hope this place stays open for many years to come so that I can enjoy purchasing what I need and so that my nieces, nephews and grandchildren can experience the same level of joy, wonder and vision I feel whenever I visit.

The store is so, so large but honestly impressively organized, even with *huge* rolls of fabric everywhere. Smaller purchase = spending less money = not a priority = longer wait. The selection of buttons is very small, and many of the tubes of buttons are down to the last one and haven't been replaced. Strangest of all his the fact that the proprietor, despite selling fabric, doesn't seem to know her fabrics. I brought in a jumper for my daughter, and she kept arguing with me that it was 100% cotton. I explained that it was actually mostly polyester, she said I was wrong. They have a beautiful small selection of fabrics, notions, and patterns but they really excel in classes. I decided to take a garment class (the lined jacket), not for help, but for community, and I'm so happy that I did! Christine was a great teacher and I do pick up some tricks! My goal this year was to grow my skills, so I decided to enroll in the Sketch to Garment class. It has been so fun working with Julie Ann and my fellow students. I was worried I'd struggle because I don't have sketching or design experience, but I love how easy and creative they made it! I'm looking forward to more.
