On a recent visit to Ohio, our 14 yr old son had to be seen by an optometrist. Dr. Pickens was the only one who made time for our son. His accurate diagnosis & insights moved us swiftly to a neurologist and emergency admission to Children's Hospital in Columbus. Our son was treated for Lyme Meningitis. Dr. Pickens is a caring, dedicated and outstanding doctor and exceptional person. His care eliminated what could have been a more serious health issue for our son. Dr. Pickens called us for updates and is truly concerned about his patients. There are no words to express the heartfelt appreciation we have for Dr. Pickens. God Bless Him! read more

Prices don't vary very much from here to any other eyeglass store; always a bit pricey but always needed. Both the doctor and the receptionist has been nothing but kind to me the entire time and I was sad they had such a bad review on here and had to say something. I walk to this place; as I don't have a car and I've never wasted my time when I've needed to go in.

After an extensive eye exam they ordered me a box of contacts that were completely outrageous in cost. Embarrassed and a little ashamed I ordered contacts from Walmart. I still needed to obtain the prescription so composing as much pride as I could I called and pretended to be a Walmart employee and asked for the prescription to be faxed. In shock I sat and listened to the secretary talk about how she needed to make me pay upfront because I couldn't afford their brand and go on to slander and shame me. I was in disbelief. When I got to Walmart I learned after all that they still hadn't faxed my prescription. In the pouring rain I had to walk to the eye clinic where I asked politely for my prescription and informed them that I was ginger who had called earlier that day. They denied it was even them that has answered the phone and then didn't want to give me my prescription...when dr Myers came out I informed him of the current situation and asked him if I i could please have a sample pair because I didn't know I was going to have fo weather the rain three times in order to get this completed. He told me I could get a sample pair from Walmart because I was their problem now. I was taken aback I said sir I thought you were a good Christian man and I was a blind single mother who was just trying to save some money and her pride and he said "well I'm not" I was embarrassed for him at this point . The women there were vile human beings who gained pleasure making fun of someone going through a struggle and then liars on top of that which is horrible and Dr Myers was completely unprofessional
