Jaycar Electronics at Clovelly Park clearly spend the time to train their staff in the art of customer service, or they just employ people with good customer service. Every time I go in there I get the info I need. In a business like this, it would be quite normal for the sales people to patronise you on your lack of knowledge, but at this Jaycar they always seem to try to understand what you want to do and advise you if it is possible. Electronics are complicated for most people, and I'm no expert by any test. Even when I have only spent $3 on some small component, they always take the time to answer my novice questions and even demonstrate how it works. They also tolerate me when I ask how to build my own internet fridge or attach lasers to my guard sharks heads, or whatever stupid hair-brained idea I've thought about that week

Several attempts to cancel the service which I didn't contract in the first instance and then I…read moregave up. I disputed the bill for $124 and they said they would get back to me but never did. In the end, I paid it on 6/10/20. In early-mid November I get a letter from a debt recovery agency that's impossible to contact and I call ADT- despite quoting the receipt number the extremely rude person in the billing department refused to sort the problem and said they will get back to me. I called the next day - the guy I spoke too told me that that they had not done some processing or other - so as I understand this you can pay them but their systems are so poor they may not recognize it, and then with no cross-check happily pass the account to a debt collector. The guy I spoke to, said while he could correct whatever it was he could not solve the hand over which was another dept!! I asked for confirmation that the problem at his end was resolved and he promised to email me by COB - he did not. And that is entirely consistent with the track record of this extremely poor business. Stay away from this poor service dishonest mob.
