Nice place to stay prior to our cruise. We came in a couple days early, showed up at 11:00 AM and…read morestaff were there. They informed us that our room was ready early so we could crash from a long flight from Vegas, Ft Lauderdale, New York, to Rome. We went to bed and didn't get up till the next morning. Jet lag sucks, lol. We went to Pizzeria del Getto. Post review for them too. Would recommend and use again. When you come, pay in cash if possible. They prefer it.

Found this spot on Trip Advisor and would like to share it with my fellow Yelpers. We were looking for our hotel which was walking distance from the train station but had a hard time finding it due to lack of street signs. Don't try finding this place at night unless you know where you're going. My boyfriend and I walked around for quite a bit with no luck so we walked back to the train station and were able to get a cab to take us there. Again, it's hard to find at night so cab it instead. Our room was cozy and we were able to sleep well. There was no blow dryer, so make sure to bring your own and an adapter. Unfortunately, I blew out my hair straightener which left me without one for about 3 weeks while traveling throughout Europe (but that's a different story) ha! Just make sure your straightener has dual voltage and you'll be fine. Make sure to have Euros. When we paid, the preferred method of payment was in cash. The owner Rosanna was very sweet and asked how our stay was. Very hospitable. She even offered us something to eat before we headed out. We had to leave to catch our ship, but thanked her for her hospitality.

Anyway, I will leave one here since we had such a nice experience. The hotel is huge and at the top of a hill, so it overlooks Fiuggi. In that respect, we liked it because it can otherwise be very loud in town with all the august festivities during our stay. I actually saw this hotel from the window of our first hotel and moved here after we decided the first place was no good. The outside is really that compelling. It looks like a mansion out of a movie. The entryway will not disappoint as it is all marble with high ceilings. If you look up the history, it was built as part of the glamorous early 1900s - gatsby/titanic style. Everything is opulent with detailed moldings and built-in statues everywhere. The outdoor pool is 12 feet deep on one end. Serious lap swimming to be enjoyed. Anyway, I won't go into all the details of how gorgeous the place is since it would take too long. Just imagine west egg. The service was probably the best I have experienced. Everyone was so accommodating and polite. Dinner was very good both nights. Very large portion sizes and italians eat 2 main courses so it was a lot to manage. We shared the appetizer and primi piatti. Peach sorbetto was to die for and had it both nights. Some places are mostly friendly, but rarely are they all friendly. Anyway, had a great time enjoying the spa and hanging out in our lovely suite. So why the 4 instead of 5 stars? Some minor details like landscaping and worn out outdoor furniture. It was an interesting place because it was almost like staying at a museum. It was a favorite for high society back in the day so while everything is of the utmost quality, there is that feeling that there has been some time since the glory days. Plus, I'm sure it is very difficult to keep up with a property that big. Anyway, if you find yourself in fiuggi for whatever reason, this is definitely the best hotel around.

If you need some peace and escape for a bit in a little slice of heaven…read more I stayed here a few days to acclimate to the time difference before a girls trip to Rome and the Amalfi Coast. The spa was beautiful and their staff was very professional and great service providers. The food was so fresh, everything I had was exceptional and maybe one of the best meals I had had in Italy. The local Olive oil was hands down the best I have ever tasted and of course their famous water from the region has hydrated the royal families throughout Europe for hundreds of years. I was by myself but it would be a great place for a family in the summer or a relaxing girls trip for a few days. One day I want to come back and stay for a month with my family. I enjoyed that I did not see any other people from the US (I am from the US) there were only other European tourists from other countries visiting, so it felt like a very authentic experience. It is a approximately 1 hour from the Rome airport. My room was very large and beautiful. The only thing I would wish for would be warmer blankets. I was quite cold at night. Besides that, the region is worth the trip. The little village is safe and very pretty and relaxing. The Hotel is seasonal so please make sure you check your dates.
