Most guys that lose their hair are contemplated with 3 major things at some point. The first is, do I do something about it? If you answer yes to the first question, the second becomes: now what? The third is, who can you trust? Losing your hair makes you feel vulnerable -- let's face it. I waited until I was 40 to make that first decesion and it was a costly one. The first thing I did was get graphs which cost me more than 15k. Nevermind how painful that procedure was, it also took a year for that hair to grow in. It did eventually grow hair in the areas I had lost it. Which was amazing at first. However, the the thing is my hairline was receding faster than the hair I was growing. This happened mainly at the crown of my head but then soon after the front followed. So after only a couple years post procedure, I was now adding fake hair (Toppik). At first I thought I solved my baldness but soon I realized it just wasn't functional. I work out a lot and so any kind of moisture makes it run off your head like when a girl cries with eyeliner on. The other issue was going in water like a pool or ocean instantly exposed my balding spots. You get the point. So, I was back square one. I then tried a hair piece or what they call a "hair restoration" done by a dermatexhair. That lasted 3 months. Never looked right and left my scalp infected and irritated. Cement glue and hair don't mix. So what is my point in sharing my personal struggles? Because I know if you are reading this you have either gone through some of these struggles, or you are stuck on the first question of 'what do I do?'. SMP was something I actually looked at before I got my graphs. Thing is, back then the techniques used didn't look natural to me. It looked like a helmet. And as someone that has never had a tattoo the idea didn't appeal to me. However, a couple months ago when I knew 'the piece' as I called it, wasn't going to work, I started to research my options again. For the first time in my life, just shaving my head and owning it became more of reality. I tried to convince myself that I wouldn't think about my hair again. Well, that didn't last long. I stumbled back to SMP and was shocked at the progression it had made since I last looked. After rediscovering SMP, I researched and I read every experience I could. I googled SMP on YouTube. After doing my due diligence, I kept coming back to Picasso Jeff's work and Instagram and Cat's down to earth reels. Not to be overlooked was that the very person who has created the newer techniques was also training others to do them. If I was going to put my trust into this, this is definitely where I wanted to go. So I called and talked to Nina. Instantly I felt like I made the right decision. She answered all my questions -- and I had a lot of them. An ease came over me that I can't explain and without hesitation I booked my first session. I was driving from San Diego and Picasso Jeff and Nina were very accommodating with scheduling. My first session didn't disappoint. The studio is super nice and super clean. The precedure was nothing like my graphs and not as painful as I imagined the needles to be. Recovery of the redness is less than 48 hours post procedure. I don't really write reviews, a few weeks ago I took an advanced SMP training class with Jeff and I have to say why can't everybody in this industry teach like him. It took me more than a year to take another course because of my lost of trust with so many superficial training out there or even local trainers in my area that gives the bare minimum if any. 9 minutes ago Discussing what I wanted and how I wanted the end result with Fabian and Jeff, they discussed my options with me. After a detailed consult, I was fortunate to have an opening the same day. I was taken to a sterile workspace where Fabian prepped me and made me feel comfortable. As Fabian was putting together his tools, I had an opportunity to look around the studio which was very inviting. The decor looked beautiful. Before Fabian began to work, he provided beverages. I also had a large screen TV, as the first session was going to taken a bit. Fabian and Jeff are truly artist.
