Part of the NuCo Arts and Cultural District's plan was to create a new park on the south side of the lot where the Vintage Fire Museum sits. Having a bright and colorful space where everyone is welcome was the driving force behind this park. There is new public art (both murals and a sculpture) nearby, bench swings, cool bike racks, and a bright blue "turf" that has outlines for different games that kids can use to play.
There is also greenspace and plantings to keep it looking healthy. The east end of the park's border with the lawn is curved and lined with umbrella covered bench seating with curved tables that are ideal for picnics/lunches.
While there, you can check out one of the vintage fire trucks that sits outside the museum.
