Piccadilly Coffee is just okay. It has a British theme, so it's not your classic just-espresso coffee bar you'd find in most of Spain. They have lots of options and lots of space, which is nice. There's a whole upstairs area, which seems like it should be cozy, with couches and low coffee tables, but the lighting is way too bright and the thermostat kept too cold to make it a place where you want to hang out.
I ordered the hot chocolate, which was a mistake. It's made from a mix, clearly, since all of the powder gathered at the bottom, and you have to stir as you drink. Way too sweet, I didn't finish it. The cappuccino and the latte were both fine, nothing special. It wouldn't be my first choice for coffee in Girona, but it was one of the only places open. read more
