This square is super lively and jammed packed full of people.
It's not a pedestrian square, there are cars that go through it but if you've been to Italy, you know that streets are sidewalks and it doesn't really matter.
There are a lot of hotels, restaurants and bars to visit in the square itself and in the immediate surrounding area.
There are also a lot of shops, both local, touristy and major name. If you head east and go down Via San Cesareo, you'll see all the tourist shops and limoncello everything. The street before that one has the "normal" luxury tourist stuff.
There are places to view the ocean from this square and it can get quite busy.
Two of the best places we ate the entire trip were in this area. While there are tourist traps, most of these places are just good and well worth the visit. read more
