Turin's central square, Piazza Castello, was designed in 1564 by Vitozzi and is lined with museums, theatres and cafes. We just loved the porticoes! This is the real heart of the city. In the middle of the square stands Palazzo Madama and on the side you could see The Royal Theatre, The Royal Palace, the Royal Library. In Piazza Castello (The Castle Square) the major streets like the Via Roma, Via Garibaldi, Via Po, and Via Micca branch out from here. read more
