Piazza Augusto Imperatore
Ok. Let me put this in extremely simple terms. I have walked around Piazza Augusto Imperatore, took lots of pictures, studied history of this place and of the historical sites located here. I've digested the facts and written a very informative review reflective of my own experience and opinion, based on all of the above. And I put up the listing, just like many others - I do what I can to help Yelp grow and make it better.
It appears that out of the thousands of reviews out there that mean nothing and contain zero information, the one that presents valid historical facts and highlights the controversy of the particular site is not welcome. So this essay goes in its part, where I'm talking exclusively about my very personal understanding for this particular listing, created by yours truly.
Over the half of the past year and a half, I've resided in Rome, due to frequent continuous business visits. I put in many miles on my feet, roaming the streets in the Centro Storico, and enjoying its amazingly rich architecture and history. No one can possibly accuse me of faking my discoveries or not forming my own opinion.
This clearly irritated the evil forces in the yelping cyber space, therefore my review for Piazza Augusto Imperatore has been removed. I'm merely stating the facts here.
You see, this entire area remains to be a hugely controversial site due to Benito Mussolini's involvement into massive restructuring of Rome that he undertook during his fascist regime glorifying years.
Apparently it has been determined by the support team, shall we say, alerted by someone's diligence, that my review somehow fell outside the guidelines, because my content did not appear to be my own. I refrain from placing any judgement on the validity of this statement. read more
