For the price you're paying, you should have a thicc PIADINA. Instead, I feel like I'm just eating bread. Will not be returning and do not recommend :( read more

The Tustin Marketplace store is still operating under the Piadina name but their Irvine store at Barranca/Culver was rebranded as an Italian restaurant (Sole Toscano) with pasta dishes and bakery items. There is a Piadina Sandwich section on the menu to retain the basic items from the original store. For this occasion tried the Parma and found it to be a healthy alternative to the Italian subs that I love dearly. Their service is polite and prompt with the only downside being it's a smaller portion for a $12 item and can leave you feeling unsatisfied compared to a footlong sandwich as an example. And while understanding a footlong is catered to a different market or appetite and may not utilize the same ingredients value nowadays can hold a higher importance. When I ordered my food, the cashier said they'd have it ready in ten minutes. It took 20-25 minutes for my food to be ready. When I said that it took double the time, I was told with a sharp attitude that they were in the middle of training. If that's the case why not just let customers know that due to training wait time will be longer than usual? Again, they took forever to prepare our sandwiches, even though they had 4 kids making the sandwiches. It's not like they were goofing off. They just moved like slugs. I stopped at Piadina recently for a sandwich. Two employees, no other customers. The woman who took my order gave me the wrong change and it took some time for her to figure out how to correct the error. Then I waited for my sandwich... and waited. No progress. Finally, the other employee made the sandwich, but he put salt on it when I had asked for no salt. So, out went the sandwich. Then I waited for my sandwich to be remade... and waited. Again, no progress. In the meantime, the two employees chatted as they stood over the food, the woman complaining that she did not feel well--her stomach apparently--and mentioned that other family members had the stomach flu and were throwing up.
