So yesterday... yesterday I had he scariest reaction to accidentally ingesting a very fine pine nut…read morefrom a pesto sauce and I mean BARELY had any... almost instantly my throat closed and I was unable to breathe. I wasn't able to talk but I showed my husband a message asking him to call this location and tell them I'm on the way. We have a 4 month old so I couldn't wait to pack her up... I was about to die. I didn't call 911 because I wasn't sure how long it would take for them to come... I figured I had a better chance of trying to get to Patient First. Long story short, they saved my life long enough for me to get to the hospital, by ambulance (they called 911)!! With epi pen injections some steroids and idk what else. I'm so grateful for the nurse, tech and doctor that was on duty yesterday!! The nurse had a necklace on that said "psalm 23" which is a beautiful bible verse. It reassured me that everything was going to be ok- though I secretly didn't believe it would be. The only reason I took one star away is because registration was trying to register me and I couldn't breath or talk. I was trying to type things on my phone for her to read while still trying to focus on my breathing through my nose, while trying not to chock to death, while trying not to panic... maybe a new protocol should be placed for patients w/ difficulty breathing. Using the little air I had in my lungs was close to impossible. The only thing keeping me alive was the fact that I could breathe out of my nose. If I had a stuffy nose I absolutely would have died yesterday. I appreciate the quick action of the entire team!

Good experience. Dr. Kinzinger clearly and helpfully explained what I should do. The poster offered tea or coffee. Known issue: if you have AT&T, your phone may not work in the parking lot. I had previously tried other centers, including Drayer, where although the staff was friendly, I often felt like I was on my own--more like paying for "gym time" than receiving personalized care. At Smith & Prothero, the experience was entirely different. From start to finish, I received one-on-one, hands-on therapy tailored to my needs. They don't just hand you a list of exercises--they work with you throughout the entire session to ensure you're doing them correctly and progressing toward recovery. I had the pleasure of working with Rick, who was not only knowledgeable but also genuinely invested in my progress. I have also worked with Laura and Willie( both amazing and very much hands on therapist). I can't recommend this place highly enough! You won't be disappointed!
