Don't ask for any medication because you won't get it especially if you work at the hospital! The doctors and nurse practitioners act like you're just there for a work excuse or something. It's like an act of congress to get antibiotics or a steroid shot, we'll I think it's impossible actually! I'm a nurse and I know a little bit about my body and what works. But they don't want to hear any of that. There are plenty of other urgent cares in town and I would suggest you use one of those. I'm currently being seen at Ascension St Thomas Urgent Care. Thursday I walked into the urgent care and took care of me right away with vitals, and chest X-ray. Then my heart sank. Knowing it would never happen to me, it was Covid. I always took proper measures to avoid it. I was seen by this wonderful Dr. Alexander. He took the time to explain to me that this virus is everywhere. I have nothing but positive things to say. My mother told me about Dose and when an issue came up…read morethat didn't require the ER but did require attention, I went to their website. An hour later, an MD came to my home quickly and was professional, courteous, and helpful.... best of all, my issue was addressed. I really do hope Dose does well, as their service is a good and necessary one. I have very good insurance, but for certain things, there is absolutely no reason for me to go to a hospital or urgent care facility. Dose fills a gap, and I'm glad they are around!
