She has such a positive energy that is contagious and heart warming. It is extremely apparent how much pride she takes in her work and how much love she puts into her arrangements. Kim was extremely organized and listened very carefully to all of my ideas. She helped me create floral arrangements that were more beautiful than I could have imagined. At the wedding ceremony, Kim's floral creations exceeded all my expectations. I received numerous compliments on our flowers from my family and friends. I cannot sing enough praise for Kim Ballard Ross. She has become so much more than my wedding florist, she has become my friend. Her studio is decorated gorgeously and shows off her creative personality. I will definitely choose Kim for all my future floral needs.

I was worried that whatever florist we ended up working with would not respect my ideas for the design. Kim absolutely blew away my expectations for working with a florist and also with the final product. From the first meeting, she had great ideas and absolutely respected the style that I wanted for the wedding. Her flowers were high quality and beautiful, and the designs were all exactly what we'd discussed. Delivery was prompt and she took great care to set up everything exactly where it belonged, and even helped us with some non-flower related decor when we got in a pinch. Our meetings were very organized and you can tell that she really takes detailed notes to help her remember what's needed from one meeting to another. I can't recommend Kim highly enough for your event!

The mansion and ballroom are stunning, and it's really close to downtown! We arrived at 7:07 and the house was locked up and empty. We sent her an email to let her know that we had arrived since that was our only method of contact that she had provided. We walked around the grounds looking to see if we could find someone outside working to no avail. Lots of boxes and other odds and ends from the wedding several days before were still strewn about. Finally called the number listed in the front window and she answered with "Hello, who is this??". I asked her about the showing and she told me "It's 7:30, you said you would be there by 6:45 and you didn't show up, so we left. You want me to send someone back out there?" I told her no, thank you and we left. If you are searching for a wedding venue, I would advise you against dealing with this place.

The center area was used for congregation of guests prior to the ceremony and also for the cocktail hour. They gave the bride and her family ample time to set up and also gave them until Sunday afternoon to clean up, which was so nice because everyone was tired at the end of the reception on Saturday. It's a beautiful building near hotels and bars/restaurants so it was easy to walk over and walk back at the end of the night. The space is bright and well lit during the day. The ceilings are vaulted and are architecturally appealing. Restrooms are clean and centrally located which is important during a big function. It was an unplugged wedding so I don't have many pictures but Lexington brides and event planners should seriously consider this venue

The atrium is beautiful, with it's rotunda and skylight, and directly under it a glass panel inserted in the middle of the floor. The room in which the event was held was very industrial, with low metal beams crisscrossing above and drop lights. I'm looking forward to seeing the entire Courthouse when it is completely renovated.
