Maija was very creative with our sessions and she was great at getting real and candid looking shots even though we are far from experienced in front of the camera. Maija really took the time to get to know us and she was great a listening and filing away small things that we would say. My wife and I put a lot of effort into doing a lot of the decorations in our wedding ourselves and Maija made sure to get really cool shots of the work that we did and she just picked that up from our conversations. Maija was very prepared with ideas of where and what to shoot, but she was outstanding at going with the flow and getting truly natural photos. We had high winds during our pre-wedding photos and she was fantastic at making it fun and getting photos that look outstanding even if we were about to blow away. I am only sharing truth & facts as I do not want anyone else experiencing the same thing we had to deal with. We planned photos for the day after Thanksgiving since all the family was in town. I had messaged her the night before to confirm and was met with "I thought I had you down for Saturday" so right there she wasn't prepared for a 90min session the next morning. She showed up to our 10am session, in sweats, a hoodie and uggs. We had told her some locations we were interested in and what we wanted, water was one of them. When we arrived at the location, there was hardly any water and we noticed right behind us was vehicle parking. When this was mentioned along with our jackets possibly in view, it was confirmed we had nothing to worry about and that those are easy fixes. The weather in Idaho in November at 10am was just under 40, and take note that she wanted us to originally meet at 9am but I said that it was probably going to be too cold. Fast forward to receiving our gallery, Sierra said "let me know if you have any questions or concerns." I immediately had concerns that over 50 photos had either a vehicle or jacket in the PHOTO! I asked her to kindly edit those out like she mentioned at the session and was told that it would be "$20/hr" to make any edits and that "cars and blankets is not something I could have controlled." Apparently because of the changing the time to later for colder weather, it was "inconvenient lighting" so finding good lighting was more difficult for her. The story goes on and on and at one point her removing 100 photos and leaving us with "randomly" picked one. In the end, she never edited any of the photos, refused to own up to her own mistakes, gave us the gallery for 48hrs to download and then removed access. As mentioned to Sierra, she has a lot of learning when it comes to being a business owner & professional photographer. I am not sure if we caught her in a rough reason but I cannot believe the way we were talked to & handled as PAYING clients. I hope others who have had the same experience share their reviews. I wish the best for her and her future but this was the BIGGEST regret. I have included photos that we were given but out of respect for my family have cropped our faces. I have also included photos of her responses.

The photoshoot was personal, not just because they were Senior portraits, but our daughter had just been diagnosed with cancer and wanted pictures taken with her natural hair. How can you only get one decent photo when you say you took hundreds! Sadly, the one photo was gloomy and dark and I only realized that once it was blown up and paid other hundreds for the huge canvas. Doesn't look that she added much light to the photo. Yes, the photo day was cloudy but she could have added light exposure if she had wanted to. To say it's a disappointment is an understatement. She arrived late at the photo shoot and took much longer than promised to pictures ready. The Keepsake USB took months to deliver after several reminders from me. So, overall a bad experience. I don't recommend her services and wish I'd known what to expect before spending hundreds on a handful of gloomy photos.
