HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!!!! They promised me one number I didn't even receive 25% of what they said. The person/person over my case switched sooo many times it doesn't make any sense. To get any type of answer I would have to call and then still don't get an answer. Then the OLI dude had an attitude because I wanted answers to my case. I would not recommend this law firm at all. I recently had another attorney review my case and I was told that they were negligent on a lot of the stuff they were doing. They also had me going to a FRAUDULENT CHIROPRACTOR at civic center chiropractic in downtown Richmond Ca. I told them that he wasn't doing anything to help me. He literally mocked cracking my leg and shoulder. He couldn't remember what I was there for then would keep me for 2 min then send me on my way but yet I had to pay him thousands of dollars. I reached out for legal assistance after facing significant challenges with the other party's insurance, which was giving me the runaround and making it difficult to get reimbursed. When I switched insurances in January 2024 due to no longer qualifying for Medical, my new insurance wouldn't cover my injuries because they were pre-existing and related to a motor vehicle accident (MVA). Frustrated with the endless hoops I had to jump through to get compensated for my injuries, I decided to seek legal help in early 2024. Despite my efforts to negotiate from $5K to $30K on my own. In early of the year before I made this negotiation on my own I wanted assistance, especially since my bulging disk required long-term medical care. Unfortunately, after much back and forth, the law firm refused to take my case, stating they didn't believe they could secure more money than I had already been offered at the time which was 5K. I can hardly walk after sitting for 20 minutes, which makes daily activities incredibly difficult. I was willing to accept a 30% cut just to have someone fight for me, but in the end, I couldn't get the help I needed. The other party claimed everything was fine and went on with their day, while I spent the day in the hospital with a totaled car. I just wanted an attorney to help me, but something went wrong, and I couldn't get the support I was looking for from this attorney regardless. So remember sometimes they won't take the case even if you don't care of the loss. read more

I had to do a lot of calls to the law firm. Towards the end, Chelsea told me if you don't take this deal and leave us we will recoup every penny we spent for this case. I was in an accident and needed an attorney to stand up for me. I had a concussion which caused vertigo, confusion and a list of other things. I hired Phoong Law to represent me. I never once heard from Ann Phoong herself but a guy named Ali Shafiq was dealing with my case. I kept getting billed for my medical and Ali said he handled it, I had to keep getting Ali to get my medical bills straightened out. Ali was hard to get ahold of and I felt like I was not a priority for him. He tried to get me to close the case while I was still dealing with symptoms, neurology appointments and trying to figure out what was wrong with my brain. Ali finally pressured me into closing my case. I was still going through severe concussion symptoms and couldn't talk him into being patient. I couldn't stand up for myself and I felt like Ali really failed me. I feel like he pressured me to close the case so he could get his paycheck. I'll never use Ann Phoong again. read more

I thought I was making a good choice by hiring Phoong Law since they have good reviews on yelp and google. However, don't make the same mistake and look elsewhere! To keep this as short as possible, they completely deceived me and from reading other reviews I'm not the only one. I was told multiple times that I would not be responsible for any medical bills. Received a call today from 2 people I had never spoke to previously that they would be dropping my son's case even though they took the case obviously informed of all the details. I had multiple questions where the insurance claim stands currently. The 2nd person I spoke with was so extremely rude having to answer my questions. It was the first time I experienced that when talking to who was handling my case and I wasn't even sure why.. of course I have questions. When I again mentioned medical bills to her, I now am not getting a straight answer. The answer I always received when asking that question previously now today they would not confirm and admit to telling me. Multiple times they told me, no I would not be responsible for any medical bills. They communicated a lot through text and I again asked if I would be responsible because I decided I would not take that risk if so. I clearly have text messages that state I will not be responsible but now talking to them today they can't give me a straight answer and pretty much steared around having to answer. Basically completely lied to me.. I guess what did I expect from attorneys. Hire honest legal representation and Phoong Law is not in my experience. When you first call, you will speak with an intake person who will be very kind and concerned. Then, an evidence collector will contact you. They over promise to get you to sign up. I was promised Alex Phoong, a senior lawyer. Then was assigned another who had was clearly unprepared for a public entity case. He was brusque and mean and couldn't grasp the intricacies of the people involved. incredibly hands off and removed. Provided no guidance, barely communicated even with time- sensitive public entity case (wasn't even aware of the multiple deadlines). Even admonished is for not being more hurt and being unwilling to perjure ourselves just to make more of a profit to make it "worth his time" ( the lawyer's). Then we got switched to an even worse, horribly incompetent lawyer Amanda Schuchardt . She was just plain incompetent and nasty. She refused to release our case file even digitally for three weeks after we left the firm and got other representation . She claimed there was only one deadline in the case 6 mo the out and that made it ok! When I asked for it again, she called it harassment! There is zero communication in this firm itself. Even when we left the firm, the case manager called three weeks later claiming she hadn't heard from us! Amanda Schuhardt hadn't even updated her that we left the firm and were no longer on her case load! Then , Amanda had someone else's personal cell phone in her professional signature line (who had left the firm). She was impossible to contact, negligent with our case deadlines (kept saying there was only one ), evasive , rude, incompetent, and highly unprofessional. They did not inform me of many important issues at play like deadlines, how legal guardianship works for minors (and I have a 16.75 year old with a long term case), and how to navigate working for the defendant. They gave me stress not protection for my Injured son. Do your research there are much more adroit and professional legal services. Lack of integrity and completely unknowledgeable.
