Since I didn't overpack my luggage, I needed a dressier top for a cocktail hour...stoped here while walking around historic downtown Mainz. Found the too & much more! More than reasonably priced, I was tempted to add a pair of name brand shoes & purse, but I do have to fly home sometime! Check out the great deals!

Fast forward 37 years, and here is a second hand store in Frankfurt-Sachsenhausen in the same block as our favorite Applewine Restaurant. My mom loves garage sales and flea markets. She insisted on checking it out. Whereas she found a T-shirt, we found tons of dress shirts, a blazer, and great souvenir bags for gifts when we return to California. The prices were slightly higher than at US thrift stores but shirts were all under 10 Euros. We were happy!

This is a giant books store. I didn't notice how big it was from the outside, but once I stepped…read morein...whoa! It is four, that's right FOUR stories of books. They also have fun areas of nick-nacks such as calendars, journals, cards etc. They even have a little cafe downstairs. I didn't buy anything on this day, but I definitely will be back.
