The salesman was fine, and worked hard to get me a contract, and a decent one at that.
However, after a few days, I decided that the phone I had got - an HTC Wildfire was totally disappointing, and not up to the standard I wanted.
I went back to the store to see what could be done, and I was put through to the company's customer service department.
There I had the displeasure of speaking to a representative who had a horrible smug attitude.
I was told I need to read Paragraph 6 - which said there was no cooling off period. I was told this repeatedly over and over, and that I'd had a chance to examine the phone in store, and so there could be no exchange unless it was faulty.
She almost gleefully pointed out that other stores do not exchange products because you don't like them. I pointed out Argos, and Marks & Spencer as a couple of examples that do, but was simply quoted Paragraph 6 again.
It wasn't so much that I had signed this agreement (as she kept pointing out), but that the company is obviously not the slightest bit interested in any sort of customer satisfaction once they've got you to sign on the line.
I wouldn't hesitate to tell anyone else I know, NOT to go to Phones 4U. read more
