I would highly recommend this service for anybody who has a loved one in a care facility. It is more than just an extra set of eyes on your loved one. They provide not only a service, but also some of the basic care items they oversee medication's, they oversee personal care. And when it is time for the hospice care, they are with you all the way through until the end. They have volunteers, unpaid volunteers that will come and sit bedside with your loved one and you to help you through the very difficult time of the passing of your loved one. This is a free service. There is no downside to this at all. I am a very skeptical person and I am telling you this is for everyone. I can't think these people enough they made a very, very difficult situation much more tolerable. Period.

My care was approved through Missouri Medicaid to have 5 hours 5 days a week. I need help with…read morecleaning, laundry, bathing, dressing and transportation at a minimum. Advantage wasn't able to provide a caregiver more than one or two days a week. The rest of the time I was floundering on my own. The sweet gal that was helping me, Jacinta, was absolutely awesome. She came in like a hurricane and didn't leave until things were totally under control. I just love her. But she had other clients and was going to school to get a higher accreditation. I say the best of luck to her - she certainly deserves it. But Advantage was not able to get anyone else in to handle things the other times and days Jacinta wasn't available. But what really made me decide to change agencies is the fact that they do not return phone calls. If you don't have the decency to return calls to your clients, who do they return to? Very unprofessional and I can only imagine they do not pay as well as other agencies so they can't keep good help. Don't settle for them, just keep looking fora better health care agency. They are out there. But scroll right by Advantage. You deserve better than this.
